No I wouldn't, I said slit them, and that would mean, most certainly not using a meat cleaver with a chopping action!
Font of knowledge as always I remember seeing him on Soccer AM talking about his managing and on the BBC not long later when he was sacked.
I'd heard that he'd been told about a Chinese manager looking for a No.1, but was disappointed when he got there, only to find that the manager only wanted some egg fried rice. please log in to view this image
A few years ago, when he was at Bolton, Ian Walker told his then wife, he was "popping out to get an evening paper". She never had sight or sound of the bloke until 6 months later when he was found in the States in the arms of some busty bimbo !! She must be a glutton for punisnment, because she then divorced our Ian, onlyto end up with Simon Jordan the ex-Palace chairman !!!
Oh well, I wonder who "The Fail" will start on next? Failed with Bale, failed with VDV....Walker perhaps?
Great news regarding Bale, although I am one of the few here who never had any real doubts that he would stay. Everything he has ever said to the press since joining us has been a complete affirmation that he loves the club and has no intentions of leaving any time soon. The only rumours of his leaving us have come from bitter hacks who have never met him. I am, however, hopeful that his signing new contract is forged on the back of a promise from Levy that AVB will never darken a single blade of grass at the Lane. The Chav players mutinied against him inside 6 months, and I cannot see that he would be anything other than the kiss of death for us.
Who is your target audience with your latest post HIAG? Would you really judge a manager by his performance at that well know managers graveyard Stamforski Bridgov.
Target audience? Nothing so grand, Spurf. It's merely an expression of my fervent hope. I really do believe that AVB would be a disaster for us. He didn't just fail at the Chavs, he failed miserably. Let him prove himself somewhere else before we consider him.
Good lad, Gareth. That's the sort of attitude we need... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/7845169/Bale-I-ll-get-better
I am not supporting AVB as Spurs potential new manager, tbh I couldn't decide this one at all, but if AVB did prove himself elsewhere as you put it, than we would not be able to afford him anyway.
But he was an abject failure in the EPL, Spurf! You might be happy that we be used as a testing-ground to discover if his tactical ineptitude and man-management non-skills with the Chavs was merely an aberration, but it is not obligatory that I have to be.
For me its not just the Chavski episode, I don't like his manner in front of the microphone, simple as that, he comes across as someone you can dislike very quickly. He may have learnt from previous mistakes, time will tell. On the other hand it may have exposed his faults, again, time will tell.
If he gets the job we will have to give him a chance and judge him on his performance at Spurs. I just hope we don't end up with another Ramos episode. That must be on Levy's mind surely!
2001 Glenn Hoddle 5/10 Good one minute... very not good the other... 2003 David Pleat (C) 2004 Jacques Santini n/a Not enough time to come to a conclusion 2004 Martin Jol 10/10 I'm a Jol fan... I needn't justify myself to you or anyman 2007 Clive Allen (C) 2007 Juande Ramos 3/10 2 points from 8 games. I can't remember who coined that particular quote. 2008 Harry Redknapp 8/10 Gobby ****e.
Fantastic news that GB will stay....(try taking a leaf outa Bales book modric, you little tw*t) no doubt he will have been told who the next manager is, Im sure it'll have been the first question out of his mouth........as for AVB...theres just something about him I dont like (nevermind the epic failure at cfc). However, IF he is the new manager he will get my support.
