Ok, some people think we need a new mod for the United board, what with Viva united being so inactive. So this is the thread to put your name forward if you want to be nominated. Nominations will be open for 24 hours, then we'll have a vote. So far we have: Hizmo The Guy Constrcrepe Nominees need to be active on the United board.
Swarbs, I personally do not mind The Guy putting his name forward. But, others have already said that they're not happy with it. That's an issue that you'll need to be sorting out, I'm afraid.
Well, he's put his name forwards so I'll see what people say. If there is a strong objection then dave and I will have to make a judgement call about whether to let him stand. Let's see what people say - if United fans object to a non fan putting his name forward he probably won't win anyway. Mick or syd do. But I think they'll be fine with whoever the two of us put forward after the nominations and vote.
This is an opportunity for others to put their name forward. Once, that's been done then an official poll will be created.
I'll probably only vote if there's a clear tie between two people. I don't see any problem with us voting - we will need to be happy to work with whoever the new mod is. Do you want to put yourself forwards?

Swarbs as this is over an inactive mod what happens to viva united if a new mod is selected? I agree a new mod is needed but surely having 4 on the list is too many?
I have already made this point to some people. They may not like it, but some of the people that are looking to become a mod are really biased towards Man Utd, not creating a fair debate as they would just delete any negative comments, rather like the Arsenal board. I would make sure everything is Utd based, just how everyone wants it. But I would allow debates and sensible arguments like the Man Utd board is now, but obviously with the extra mod to keep things intact. I personally think I won't get it now 'some' people are being fickle. Good Luck anyway
I dunno, you'd have to ask Mick and syd. I wasn't too sure they'd say ok to The Guy's proposal, but they seem to be fine with the idea of another United mod. We already have one more mod than the other boards so we're not really missing Viva united. To be honest I'm not even sure we need another mod - there isn't really any outright wumming or bs on the board and dave and I seem to be handling it ok at the moment. I suppose we could have an option on the final vote for people who think we don't need another mod?
