Yes, but your still proud of Martin O'Neill because he's an educated, successfull manager, I personally on the other hand are embarrassed by Phil Brown's imbecile actions in interviews

Though it's true that he brought is the most success we've had in recent times, I'm afraid it didn't make Brownie a god amongst men, in fact if you go and ask on our board, you'll find half think he's a hero and half think he's a complete twat. Everyone is obviously grateful for him taking us into the Premier League, but the reality is that for the second half of his period in charge(18 months of the 36 months he was with us), we barely won a single game, he fell out with players and wouldn't play them, he played people out of position and generally blotted his copybook in every way possible.

We are his biggest success, so people will still link him with his time with us, at least until if he does something more successful........which might be a hell of a wait...

Brownie was obviously our most successful manager, he's the only one that took us into the top flight.

Your old mate Taylor is held in equally high regard, having taken us from the bottom of League Two to the Championship in just a couple of seasons(even managing to do it with two back to back automatic promotions).

But I suspect the only manager we've had who you'll find every single Hull City fan regards as a hero, is Warren Joyce.

I think Brown's success went to his head. I believe he thought he'd got to the stage where he could do no wrong and had a job for life at Hull if he wanted it. But when he gave the players a dressing down on the pitch, that was the beginning of the end. The players turned against him, and we all know where the power lies in modern football. He should have been a legend for you guys, but he ruined it for himself.

It would seem that the half time team talk was the beginning of the end. But players which have obviously left the Club since then have said that he never did lose the dressing room because of that. The whole Marlon King saga I think was the protagonist. Then there was the combination of poor tactics, fallout with Deano and stupid signings. The first half of the Premier League Season, took it by storm, 2 - 1 win at the Emirates, 2 - 2 draw at Anfield, scoring 3 goals at Old Trafford, 0 - 0 at Stamford Bridge etc etc but in the Premier League, teams suss you out. Therefore if you don't change your set up and tactics, you're gonna get bullied. Unfortunately for us, that's exactly what happened. Teams sussed us out, Brown refused to change. Our main goalscorer turned into a woman beater, and went to Middlesbrough, which only left us with Geovanni and Mannucho as goal threats. Geo couldn't play unless the Sun was out and Mannucho was just utter dogpile.
Not to mention the Bullard saga beginning in January. We could have bought a proven goalscorer, instead we fork out £5million for an injury prone, egotistic prick.
At the end of the day, Browny ruined it for himself, and with Duffen and Bartlett at the helm, it was a crashing ship from December 2009 onwards.

Memories of being a child? Pretending you were a tiger, running about the house?

Or just being a ******ed Hull City fan as an adult?

Given it's tongue in cheek, none of the above.

For what it's worth I was in a corporate box with Arsenal fans that day so I didn't have the pleasure of joining in.

Having it as your signature just reminds all the Hull City fans your trying to wind up what we've achieved in the last few years, whilst at the same time reminding all your fans you haven't been there for nearly 10 years and it'll probably be another 10 before you get anywhere close.

It's in his signature because he lost a bet with a City fan, having bet they'd finish above us.

Hull started the season really well and got about 6 decent results and that kept them in the league for 2 years somehow

But there is nothing like finishing 8th, winning the league cup and playing Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Cup in in a space of a year. A real achievement

We won 7 and drew 6 in the first half of the season(beating Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle and drawing with Liverpool and Man City), that's rather more than 6 decent results.

1 thing I always remember about when we went top of the prem was that goal by Theirry Henry against Man U that put us top. He flicked it up turned and smashed it over Barthez. Great goal

In the first half of the season we won/drew 2/3's of our games, in the second half we won/drew 1/3 of our games, it was enough to stay up.

I think you did quite well in League One that season too, didn't you?
