The question is not a question at all, it's an impossibility.

You travel further in Europe, and so ok for some games you will only take a coule of hundred supportters, but the potential is thta in 3 6 seasons you will have the multi millions that come with the premiership versus the pin money that you get with the SPL in 3 . Sometimes you have to take the long view.

Plus rangers supporters will be able to sing what ther hell they like knowing that their will be no celtic fans hanging around to **** stir with the fuzz, plus the TV exosure you will get will immediately be more than anything that you receive in the SPL at the moment. Yes it requires the finaces to be sorted out once and for all but in 6 years potentially rangers could be sitting pretty while the rest of the SPL look on in envy.

Why? if they sort out their finances , then apart from travel to some away games being long, the future potential nfor the club is amazing.

It's too messy mate, and I doubt it could be done in 6 weeks or however long it is until the season starts again.

the issue still remains that they are not allowed to register as Rangers - that club is dead - so in effect you would be creating a new club for those fans who no longer have a team to support. That team has no history and no money - it's also debateable they would even have a fan base

What makes you think that a new club, even if they did have a majority of the previous clubs supporters (highly unlikely) could even reach the dizzy heights of the EPL?

This is a pipe dream - plenty smoke but it will dissipate before it amounts to anything

What a load of rubbish , a company is a company , they come and go a Club does not, no matter what the rivals of it may say. The company that controls Chelsea football club has gone brankrupt before, but CFC still remains the same. Rangers will always be Rangers football cluband the only eople who count when it comes to their history will be the supporters of Rangers. Going on about, oh its a NEWCO and no history blah blah blah just sounds childish, they can be Glasgow Rangers AFC but in the end they will always be RANGERS and no one can change that PERIOD.

As for whether they will reach the EPL, well nothing is certain in football, but if they do the journey will be worth it, and if they are sucessful, then they will get supporters!

    Well said, Sir.

As I've pointed out hundreds of times on here, many Companies behind football clubs have had financial difficulties in the past and went bust, but the club remains always.

i suspect they are being quite clever edge - if they hadnt dissasociated (how the **** do you spell that?????) themselves from the "new" club perhaps there could have been a tacit agreement that their contracts remain valid?

Their contracts were valid but they are allowed to opt out of it when the contract is transferred.

Same as you would be, for example, if the company you work for was bought by another company. Tricky stuff employment law.

I agree, Jim, especially those who failed to recognise the impending doom scenario as it was unfolding before their very eyes. Those same fans that decried the prospect of liquidation because it "would destroy our club's history" and those same fans that insisted, in the face of liquidation, that SPL inegrity would be trumped for financial reasons.

Also, Chelsea were never liquidated <ok>

Middlesbro', Fiorentina, Napoli, Aldershot to name a few, had companies behind them that went bust.

The Company behind Rangers was founded in 1899, but Rangers were founded in 1872, so Rangers pre-dates the company.

We're in some nick, but we'll always have OUR history.

<laugh> It's a ridiculous argument, who owns history?
