He missed the pre-season, Mou likes his players to get their pre-season training. He returned from injury around December however, picked up another slight injury and failed to gain match fitness till late into Jan-Feb. Watched him in Turkey's recent set of friendlies, featured in 4-5 games, has now recovered and is approaching full match fitness. Quality player, similar role to Alonso, a bit more attacking and likes to get forwards more.

3, you have to have 4 recognised strikers, the youngsters don't take up a squad place but imo are miles away from facing PL opposition.

I think he made his position untenable to get rid of VdV. The only looked half decent when he came on! Rafa's well respected within the Dutch FA who would enjoy seeing him get his 100th cap...dropping him on 99, what a total arsehole.
