Yesterday the WO said that the takeover was imminent which I think would have people looking at the site frequently. The Portsmouth News put up stories every day to keep people looking. Do newspapers get money from advertisers on the number of hits on the web site? I have seen this suggestion several times and wonder if that is a way for them to get income as paper copies sell less.
