Somehow I didn't see the poll. Oh well, for those who are morbidly curious... Dean Austin: 67 Stephen Carr: 1462 Paul Stalteri: 81 Pascal Chimbonda: 68 Vedran Corluka: 268 Kyle Walker: 4265 Who the hell voted for Stalteri?!?
Remember the West Ham game? Thats worth a few votes on its own. More worrying is that dean austin got 67!
Walker's had one season in our side. Carr deserved to win that one, in my opinion. The left-back vote should be cancelled. Just give it to Assou-Ekotto now.
Carr was "hated" by a large section of spurs fans, i remember a game in which he returned to the lane and was given severe boos when he came near the corner flag. I never understood the hatred myself as he was a class player for us. always committed and actually a top defender and from what I remember he just left for a new challenge.
I would never boo him, and i don't think i actually went to the lane in the "Carr era" but he wasn't very likeable tbh. The problem was that he was a very good player and he was playing with some very mediocre ones. He often got frustrated towards other members of the squad and that put me off him a little
Hmmmm, I don't remember this but he was fiery and a good defender and there is no harm in being frustrated at your team mates if they aren't concentrating as I guess him and judas must have frustrated due the way some of our players performed at the back.
Walker is a good player and has the potential to be world class, but to be voted our best PL right back after 1 season is embarrassing. Agree with PNP, it should of been Carr.
He did slag off the fans before the game, IIRC, and certainly left the pitch giving them the universal sign of the ononist. Update... Justin Edinburgh: 162 Mauricio Taricco: 80 Christian Ziege: 1292 Young-Pyo Lee: 137 Benoit Assou-Ekotto: 4144* Can a few people switch their votes for Benny Taricco and LYP? They were both better than Edinburgh!
Agree with the earlier post no one can put judas in their team. It would make us a complete laughing stock with the gooners.
Current votes: Gary Mabbutt: 235 Ledley King: 1138* Colin Calderwood: 8 Michael Dawson: 192 Chris Perry: 6 Jonathan Woodgate: 24 He Who Shall Note Be Named: 84 Younes Kaboul: 69 Dean Richards: 6 William Gallas: 56
Robinson, Walker, Mabbutt, King, Benny Ginola, Modric, Davids, Bale Klinsmann, Berbatov Subs: Friedel, Kaboul, Dawson, Judas, Parker, Rafa, Keane.
the fact that 'he who shall not be named' has got votes totally nullifies the whole vote as it is obvious Gooners are voting.
Arseholes have completely hijacked the voting. Changed my vote to Mabbs because it looks like he's the only one capable of challenging Judas.
Mabbutt joined us in 1982 and stayed until the late 90's ... at their peak in the mid 80's Liverpool came in for him and he simply said no to the best team in Europe. The fact that they came in for him says how good he was. He remained a class player until the end and for that reason should be miles ahead of even Ledley let alone him
Current votes: Gary Mabbutt: 912 Ledley King: 3545* Colin Calderwood: 30 Michael Dawson: 479 Chris Perry: 29 Jonathan Woodgate: 57 He Who Shall Note Be Named: 3293 Younes Kaboul: 182 Dean Richards: 31 William Gallas: 117
that's a ****ing Joke. His name shouldn't have even been there in the first place. Surprised Corluka scored so low in the RB vote. He was a decent right back, although I can appreciate he wasn't everyone's cuppa.
i think we should flood the club with complaints about including him, even though did play for us in the PL
