Good Morning, The takeover IS real, and it looks like it WILL happen!!! We have moved a step closer to a change of ownership after it was confirmed the club have entered âa period of exclusivityâ with one interested party. Elland Road officials have been in discussions for several weeks with a host of would-be investors over a possible buyout. Bates is leaving !!! Among those bidding to get involved in the Championship outfit have been groups from the USA, Canada and mainland Europe plus serious interest from at least one consortium with links to the Middle East. The granting of an exclusivity period â meaning no talks can take place with a rival bidder â to allow due diligence to take place suggests a deal has been agreed in principle. Since first confirming discussions were underway on May 29, the club have maintained that any deal would be on an investment basis. The Leeds Utd official site stated that although confirming due diligence was under way also went on to claim the mystery bidder would âhave no issues in satisfying the requirementsâ of the Football Leagueâs fit and proper persons test. That means they have the cash... Todays discussion :- Not 606 or JA606 Why have we chosen the path we have, I dare say, a lot of us, me included came from the old BBC site, so why have we chosen the board we have? How many of us are active members of both???
Morning Elland, exciting times ahead (fingers crossed) get rid of Capt. Birdseye and all move forward with a big sigh of releif. Dont think its from this neck of the woods as something would have been leaked, as the press out here are worse than in uk.
Morning - I just posted on another thread I earn a percentage of my income online and part of this time is spent bouncing ideas with other webmasters on forums. This forum uses a format that I am used to and enjoy, the old 606 used a format I could never get to grips with, following replies, quoting people etc etc... JA606 copied that format so it ruled it out for me and when I first visited here is was just the right size. In that I mean posts, reasonable debate and many knowledgeable supporters. I looked at WACCOE the other week, I would pull my hair out trying to keep up with things and wading through **** over there. To enjoy a forum you also need to remember names, get a feel for the person you are bantering with and discussing topics with. You get to build an image of a persons character and again this forum was just the right size for me. Far to often in the past a forum has eaten a massive chunk into my productivity time.
Morning Ristac, blimey, sounds like an amazing way to make money, is it pocket money, or more (if you dont mind me asking) Great post....
Totally confused Elland to be honest, too much hush hush for me, how can such a thing be kept so quiet? Dont trust Bates, never have, just hope we are put out of our misery soon.
I liked the bit on the press release that said the due diligence process (checking the accounts), would be a simple, straight-forward task. If what the trust have lead us to believe (the 14 offshore accounts etc), then it'll be far from straight-forward!
Morning all I have accounts on Loaded JA & WACCOE I rarely post on any of them as not606 is superior in every way posted a few times on JA yesterday as the posters on there decided to slag us off. I personally don’t understand why there should be any rivalry between sites, we all support the same team, discuss the same things & many have the same opinion! I know a lot of the old beeb posters were put off coming over here due to the change of format. But once you get used to it you see how JAs system is so dated. Absolutely love this forum and RISTAC you have made some excellent points above pal. And someone had to come across and keep an eye on the Wall massive Lets not forget also how the few regulars that were already on the forum made us feel so welcome and answered all our format questions etc
Im a member on both, prefer this one because I feel it learnt from the mistakes of the old 606 rather than copy it }(like Ja606) just wish a lot of the posters from the old 606 thought the same Anyone see Russell Crowes tweets can't believe hes a Leeds fan
Forums? A lot depends on the number of people who bore or annoy you on them. I was a moderator on another forum but ended up causing more arguments than anyone else largely to get some activity going
@RussellCrowe Leeds fans have to seek assurance, "is it your interntion to be competitive,to breed excellence and seek success?" #premiership
LETS HOPE we can get rid of the parasite once and for all he has ruined the fan base completely .I do hope the new ownerslisten to Lust and to the fans .Lets hope he tales Lorimer the lap dog and Harvey with him for the betterment of the club or I can see Lorimer trying to sidle is way into the new regime we don,t want anything to do with that man!
I remember finding out Russell Crowe was a Leeds fan a while ago, can't remember quite where. Just saw a link to an interview where it was mentioned he's a supporter. There seems to be conflicting reports as to whether it's an American individual or a Middle East consortium, hopefully both! I've seen an interesting idea suggested that the club think the due diligence will be so "straightforward" because it's already under way or already done. If you look at the statement it doesn't actually state when the exclusivity period was granted. And I actually joined Not606 because JA crashed for a while not long after I switched over from the BBC, and I decided I much preferred it here.
Was that Loaded pal? I think the chat box killed that. Forums that are dedicated to one team as well must be much harder to keep conversation flowing, especially with limited numbers
I can put the odd web site together, nothing too fancy, I can also install blog software and customize themes around and I have pretty good SEO skills. With this knowledge I create a few web sites aimed at making money. Either for local business who want a small site advertising their trade and wishing to actually appear on the first page of google if they type "trade town" and for myself with certain sponsors. For example, I have an adult related dating sponsor who pays 50% commission for anyone who I get to join their site. So I look at trends and what people are searching for, so it might be "nsa dating" (no strings attached) and I create a site targetted for that search phrase with links to the sponsors site who pay me 50% of a join fee. The key is low competition search phrases that are searched enough times to make it worth your while. I was doing very well however Google released two updates called Panda and Penguin that has caused a major shake up and a loss of earnings for many people as well as some strange search results. Sometimes I hit it quite nicely other times it is pocket money. The way to look at it is if you manage to earn £10 a week "pocket money" from one site create 10 and that is £100 a week.
I wondered if part of this lengthy process has been Bates scurrying around behind the scenes sorting his shady **** out so that it does sail through due diligence.
