All i really need now is a short youtube compilation of him, some stats from champ manager and i'm ready with the "sign him up" phrase
News reports filtering through that we wont play Khumalo incase it triggers off the clause in his contract that says '9 replica shirts sold and we have to pay his former club 57p.' he is currently on 8 shirts sold.

As we're being heavily linked with both Sigurdsson and Sahin, who are both supposedly set-piece specialists, it appears that someone other than us fans noticed how crap we were at them.
We need to bring in new set piece coaches more than anything else. Well, other than a manager. And a couple of strikers. And software that alters every tabloid story linking our players elsewhere so it reads half the Man Utd squad.
Sahin seems to have an awesome left foot and from the vid looks a generally class act. But is anyone else out there thinking that he might have to stay on his feet rather more in the PL or will be spending half the season suspended!!! (not saying for one minute that I didn't appreciate the way he appears to get his foot in - just see a few of our 'choice' refs getting the red card out) Having said that - I think a straight swap for Jenas or Bentley looks fair..........
McGregor wants to leave Rangers on a free. Could be worth a punt since we've already got safe hands in Friedel so if he doesn't impress when he gets the odd game in the EL and League Cup, we can just get rid next season for a bit of change.
Sahin is a top quality player, was the key man in the recent rise of Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, played a key role in their 2010-11 winning season & was voted Bundesliga player of the year. His move to Real Madrid was a little unfortunate, his injury meant missing pre-season and he only recovered after the winter break by which time Alonso was in splendid form making it very difficult for Sahin to get much playing time. He is seen as a replacement to Alonso in Madrid and Mourinho feels with a proper pre-season he'll thrive.
Thanks for the background, Keyser - If that is the case then RM are hardly likely to trade him for Modders. He is going nowhere and the rumours are more complete bo**ocks!! Well, there's a surprise.... and I was getting quite positive at the prospect of his arrival
Depends how badly they want Modric, Relayer. Modric is supposedly very sought after by many clubs. He's a proven premier league midfielder and international, as we all know. Sahin is still young and althought he's been impressive, he hasn't made it at the top level yet. He' only played 4 games for RM and if the rumours are true, Levy is bound to use that as a bargaining tool. We will need a replacement, RM know that and are going to have to play ball. so it all depends on how much they want Modric. (supposing all these reports are true, of course). I can see it happening. I reckon the biggest problem could be the wages, should his agent take on the "he's won the bundesliga, he's an up and coming world class player and he's played for real madrid" attitude.
Player exchanges barely ever happen. And when they do they tend to be between clubs roughly equal in size (eg, Etoo, Ibra). I can't see the deal happening. First off you have to agree the adjusted fee based on swapping players, which could take long enough (considering Vertonghen). Then you have to agree terms with 2+ players rather than just the 1.
yeah agreed spurfect, there's no doubt it's more complicated than normal. but we have a midfielder who's wanted to leave for at least a year. - RM will be able to sort out something with modric very rapidly, i would have thought. If modric is going to go to RM regardless of Sahin in the deal, Sahin faces an even bigger fight to get into the RM team, and he might feel the time is right to move to the premiership and join us as we grow. - just a potential wage issue. Then it's just the additional fee and how it is to be paid. - this part I see as most complicated, but the deal is certainly possible, IMO.
how big headed is this Sahin? Anyone know? If he's like VDV then we have a chance. If he's a bit primadona then we probably don't
Quite a humble character, reserved, isn't a glitz & glam player off the pitch, rarely see him off partying and the like, a family man been married 5 years.
