siggs has lost all respect from me now as i backed him when he gave the reason that he wanted to follow brendan to liverpool even though everything apart from signing on the dotted line for us because he was on holiday was settled. I accepted his reasons that he wanted to stay with brendan. now it looks almost certain he is joining spurs who are manageless....i would like to ask him what has changed regarding brendan or is there something we dont know and brendan is joining spurs......I dont want him now even if the spurs job falls through. he has messed up two clubs preparations that could be three if spurs new boss dont want him....

Apparently Sigg's old man has done a press conference in Iceland stating his boy has not signed for any club, at the minute, but it's looking clear, he's only in it for the money like 99% of all these footballers are, would be funny as hell though if he did go to Spurs, would make my weekend!................. <laugh>

PS: Looks like there is some basis in this, as the BBC are now running with the Spurs story! Oh dear how Brenda must be mad!......... <cheers>

It would be ace if players signed for us just for the cash as that would have meant we didn't sign the world class luis saha and ryan nielsen in january when we needed top quality players! remember we have a wage cap at spurs and the fact we don't give players huge wages compared to our rivals means we tend to miss out on players.

But, apart from scoring goals from midfield, what else does this player offer? as I can't say I have seen much of his overall game, and if he signs, we already have modric, parker, sandro, livermore and huddlestone for the centre mid...PLUS we don't have a manager so i would rather we didn't sign players until we got a manager in and knew what type of system he would play.

Seems like an odd transfer from all sides!

You're saying Spurs have no manager, but Levy tends to do the transfers at Spurs.

Seems like both clubs have made offers, but Spurs have offered more money to the club and player right now.

If Liverpool match it the chase is back on.

If you can believe any of this.

Oh shut up Dai ffs, you're like an old fisherwoman. As for "senSible" Swans fans, are you seriously counting yourself in that? <laugh>

Looks like my posts wondering why he hadn't signed for Liverpool were prophetic. <whistle>

It would be quite amusing if Brendan kept his word and held off from approaching him in order for us to do so and Spurs nabbed him from under their noses.

Come on Phill, as Loughor said on another thread, show more class. You must edit all the ones with the "mistake" of forgetting the "n".

    Only saying like!!

i wouldnt now not after agreeing terms and everything and making an excuse when he realised he can milk this for more money and said he wanted to follow brendan only now to snub brendan for possibly spurs for more money. i hope we all snub him and he ends up back at hoff with no extra money...it would serve him right....dont need him we can get just as good for less money.....

The way it's going I wouldn't be surprised to see the bookies starting a book on Gylfi's next club. He's a boyhood Man U fan by all accounts !

Agree with you 100% No1. Hope he goes back to Germany and rots there. To even consider Spurs with no manager, what a plonker.

Just proves how 'dangerous' social media sites can be for one's reputation.....I quote the man's own Twitter or should I say Twatter!....

    Gylfi Sigurdsson‏@OfficialGylfi 28/5/12

the fans were one of the main reasons for me joining full time #ThankYouAll

    Gylfi Sigurdsson‏@OfficialGylfi 08/6/12

I expect not to stay at Swansea because of the uncertainty going on there as it is not clear who is going to be the boss

    Gylfi Sigurdsson‏@OfficialGylfi 2 hrs ago

I have made my decision as to where I will be playing next season and will inform you all when everything is complete

Am I alone, but my reading into this was: he agreed terms as wanted to play first team in the Prem in a guaranteed first team place in a style that suits under Buck..... Buck left and he was unsure as we had no manager left the door open for Buck to make a move with even more of a wage increase...... then a mangerless Spurs with Van Der Vart playing in his favoured position possibly come in and make him look very foolish..

...as I said, be careful what you say!!!

If it turns out to be Buck and Liverppol, then I understand, otherwise he has proved himself to be a massively disengenous/greedy (and already very rich) man. Good riddance.

.....I'm starting to believe it now - seems too many sites reporting it to be merely a fabrication.
