When a new stadium is built how about a statue outside of Alan MacDonald. One of QPR's longest serving players, who always gave 100% and was a fine captain.

They have them at other grounds like the Emirates so why not for a player who served QPR for so long (17 years) and was so respected.

Make it a trio of Marsh and Bowles on both sides of Macca (but please not a Fulham/Jacko style statue).

In my minds view, for the last five or six years I have envisioned our new stadium resembling the Coliseum. Within this stadium would be the busts of all the QPR greats and future greats as an incentive standing bare waiting to be filled. Of course Macca would be at the entrance to this stadium.

Be nice if they could produce one of him kicking Sparky up in the air in one of their duels...

Dont like the idea......I've never liked statues outside stadiums, think its quite tacky.

Plus as much as Alan Macdonald is a bit of a QPR legend, not sure he is a player you would have as a statue......thats usually reserved for a true QPR great (Stan Bowles or Marsh seem to fit the bill more)....just my opinon of course.

A plaque would be a better option I think.

I like the sentiment, and feel that he should be honoured, but do agree with Franckster that statues are a bit tacky.

Such a tragic loss, with still so much life.

TBH a bit OTT, where would you draw the line, what about Tony Ingham, Mike Keen, Alec Stock, Gerry etc all these great servants of the club? Nice Idea but not really appropriate.

    Have to agree with this.

However, when a new stadium is built maybe thought could go into utilising some of the space for a proper museum and not just retail outlets and toilets.

Hate to suggest something that Chelski do but don't they have a wall of fame now ? Which seem like a good idea.

Another idea maybe to name a stand in the new stadium after him?

Though with the tragic losses QPR have suffered in recent years with Kiyan Prince, Ray Jones and now Macca then I am in favour of a small museum outside the ground that remembers all QPR players past and present.

As Eamon says above just incorporate a proper museum into the New Stadium design that celebrates everything QPR

As Tramore says, we could end up with a lot of statues and we certainly wouldn't have enough stands to be named after our legends. Therefore, the wall of fame or museum seem to be better ideas.
