The people on the street voted for the adminstration to make those decisiOns on their behalf, added to the distinct lack of public objection when the decision was taken. Indirect culpability
Sorry but that's bollocks, democracy only goes so far, no matter who we vote for, politicians still do what we don't want. And 40% of people don't vote anyway.
Eddie we are talking about the past, not now. Read the ****ing OP and the posts that followed Stoneage? Like making up laws about people having a sing song at the Football? Get off your high horse ya pompus twat
Abstaining from voting is as good as voting for them. The puic also has an opportunity to object to incumbent government policies. While not precise in their campaign, the IRA seemed to target areas as such that at least a few of the typical xenophobic Daily Mail readers were given no further opportunity to spew bile, or indeed actually go for the soldier side of things in Guilford etc..
Who is dragging it out. This is a historical examination if anything. You comment on black people holding a grudge for slavery, well what if there were still slaves? would the grievance be legitimate then? People are generally happy to move forward. there is only so far it can be taken. The fact of the matter is that from now until the end of the summer a Quasi Religious/ Political organisation will be taking to the streets and telling the Nationalist and Catholic community that they are not as good as they are. So the ****s responsible are not old or dead, they are very much in your face telling you that you are still beneath them and they can do what they want and go where they please. This is not a recipe for reconciliation. This country is still divided and the majority of Republicans have embraced a peaceful reunification strategy. This is a good thing. Nobody wants to go back to that. This society does remain fractured and markedly so. Nobody is talking about going backwards.
If being an Irish Republican makes me a Wrong Yin then thank you very much Eddie I didn't have you down as a forelock tugger tbh
