Interesting start to next season. I had a feeling we would start away to a newly promoted team but I thought it might have been West Ham. We have Man City, Chelsea and Man Utd and Liverpool early on so I hope we are not in the bottom three come the end of October.
Last season we did really well in the first batch of games with some of the big sides - hopefully we can repeat!
I'm predicting 3 points from our first 8 games and the points coming from Swansea at home. I reckon come Christmas we will be around the bottom. Hope I'm wrong but that fixtures starting line up we have looks terrifying with the players we have now.
We've got all the same players as last season, except Fuller! You could be right about the first 8 games, or we could have 7 points after that (win 2 out of Reading, Swansea and Wigan, and a draw against Arsenal) Looks bad to start, but we've got an easier end to the season, and without finding out which teams have got to face all the top teams at the end of theirs. We need improvement to get any higher than around 12-14, but I don't think we'll be any worse than that.
I felt the same last season, yet we started with some spirited performances and got some good results. Whilst the end of season looks more favourable thats is where our season will be decided - we ALWAYS have sh4t end to our seasons!
Hi one and all. Still in France at present but I have opportunity to come on here so here goes. Got updated with fixtures. So Reading away ( relatively close for me!). Hope we get a point or three! ArseNIL draw please if not all three! Wigan improve please on the performance and get a result TP. Last seasons' farce is just not on. Man City next, well it just does not come harder. I guess that Aguero will play this time round! Point please and keep that run going against them at the Brit!!! Best go now but let's remain postive. Waddo can't get to Man City game.
