Just thought I'd randomly ask why the betting firms reckon it's very likely that Liverpool will finish higher than us next season? Squad depth seems like an overused argument that's been refuted by our most recent season, as it's our squad players and younguns that have been as vital as our best players in getting us where we are. We've signed well, and have a great system, don't see why Liverpool with Brendan Rodgers will Suddenly over take us lol.
There is no logical argument that can be made to say Liverpool will finish higher than us. The only reason most people think so is that they don't look into our team properly. We have plenty of talent, excellent organisation, a fantastic scouting system. "Underperforming" so often is basically just an excuse not to say you're not as good as you think you are. Liverpool are the bigger club but that means **** all. And having spending money means **** all if you don't spend it properly. You may have another 100m to spend, but if we spend 20 million as well as we did last season then I reckon we'll do as well next season.
Was there a 'logical argument' for Newcastle to finish above us when you appointed Pardew? Do you know what players Rodgers will sign? If you've got a problem with bookie firms get in touch with the Gambling Commission tash. Or you could throw a couple of quid on us and it wont be such a shock if we do finish higher
It's quite simple, they're Liverpool and this year is their year. If you play the way you did last year you'll finish above them again, as they'll improve but not enough to finish higher than you IMO.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Sullivan Roy Cleveland Sullivan (February 7, 1912 – September 28, 1983) was a U.S. park ranger in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. Between 1942 and 1977, Sullivan was hit by lightning on seven different occasions and survived all of them. Boom!
BR will fail and the team will let their own fans down once again. So yeah, Magpies will finish above 'pool. But you've got bigger fish to worry about now (or you should have) how about a push for top 4?
