I posted this on the rangers board but don't think they liked it http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/inverness/107843-inverness-ct-become-latest-club-to-say-no-to-newco-in-spl-meeting/ Inverness Caledonian Thistle have become the fourth SPL club to confirm it will vote against a newco assuming Rangers membership in the league. The Highland side will vote no to the proposal at the SPL general meeting on July 4. Club chairman Kenny Cameron made the decision after listening to fans of the team, and said that supporter pressure helped him to come to the decision. Mr Cameron said: "It is fair to say that in excess of 95 per cent of them raised the issue of sporting integrity as the reason why they don't want the newco to be admitted and had not yet renewed their season tickets. "Financially, we examined the various scenarios and, frankly, none of them were positive for our club, it is extremely disappointing to be adversely affected by something not of our doing, unfortunately this is a similar situation for the rest of the clubs in SPL. "We have also been contacted by supporters of various other SPL clubs, saying they would not be back to Inverness if we did not accept that sporting integrity was what mattered, but this is something that we had already considered and it is not only the integrity of the SPL that is at stake but the integrity of Scottish football. "It is quite clear, that supporter opinion in Scotland overwhelming supports that view. Supporters are the life blood of any club and we would have been foolish not take on board their opinions on this matter, they are our customers and any business that ignores the views of it customers does so at its peril.â The chairman went on to say that a "substantial amount" for Caley Thistle fans had withheld their money from buying season tickets and has now called on the fanbase to put their money into the club after their wishes were heard. Mr Cameron said it was time to rally round and help Inverness for the season ahead. He added: "We have listened to all our customers and taken the decision and we now look forward to their support going forward. "Our sympathies go to the many small businesses in and around Glasgow who have or will suffer through no fault of their own and the Rangers supporters who are not to blame for their club's difficulties but have also found themselves out of pocket through the actions of others. "We would be in a completely untenable position, financially and morally, if we defied the overwhelming demand of our own paying customers who are, after all, what Caley Thistle are all about."
It would appear Sandy Jardine will have to bring the fight to many if not most of the SPL venues. The fighting fund could be all used up on shoe leather. Fair play to Sandy he is going to make a difference. Maybe he should put his medals etc. up on e-bay rather than return them to the authorities as he previously threatened. At least he might get something for the fighting fund.
So that's ICT, Dundee Utd, Hibs, Hearts and St Johnstone. And now Aberdeen: Stewart Milne, chairman: “Traditionally we have preferred not to make public our voting intentions, but in light of the level of interest and the fact other clubs have chosen to show their hand, on this occasion I can confirm it is our intention to oppose readmission to the SPL for any Rangers NewCo."
Sometimes a wee bit of silence does more than making silly comments that inflame the situation. Maybe Fat Sally should take note...
Lawell still hasn't even had to utter a public peep. What's St Johnstone's alibi regarding Pud's windaes?
Isn't it remarkable though that it's taken fans of clubs to make sure they do the right thing ... makes one wonder if some of the chairmen would have recognized that sporting integrity was the over-riding factor if fans holding back on season tickets, etc., hadn't forced their hands. Remains to be seen, however, if an underhand deal has been done to allow the Newco into the 1st Div rather than the 3rd which is where they should be made start. I believe Falkirk have already raised concerns over that scenario - lets hope fans of the other clubs are equally willing to bring the same pressure to bear to see the Newco consigned to the 3rd Div.
I can't see why any club would vote to have them in the 1st at all? If you are a 1st division club, you don't want them as it practically rules out any chance of promotion. Which then means, who is going to pay £15 to watch Hamilton v Partick on a pissing wet Tuesday night if there is nothing to play for before the season has even started? If you are a 3rd division, or even 2nd division with a view to next season, you must be thinking the gate money from 2 games v Newco FC would be enough to cover your expenses for a couple of years, as is normally the case when either of us get drawn to wee teams in the cups. So who the **** would want them in the 1st?
This idea, being floated, of the possible reconstruction of the league system and redistribution of money throughout the leagues etc may be the carrots which could tempt the 1st Division clubs to work some sort of deal to allow the Newco in. A bit speculative, I know, but I wouldn't rule it out. I do hope, however, that you are right and that there is no way the Newco will be accepted anywhere but the 3rd ... and even that's being generous.
so who is gonna vote for them? killie (to their own fans disgust) and the team formerly known as rangers

Surely it's "Super Caley go ballistic, Ally says "that's atrocious......just who are these people? I want to know who these people are. It's about transparency" etc etc
Good to see Raith Rovers side with Falkirk and Livingston in opposing any skulduggery to allow Sevco into the 1st Div. Hope others are as adamant that they won't accept them. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/107974-raith-rovers-will-oppose-any-move-to-admit-newco-rangers-to-first-division/
