I like you JH but it annoys me when everyone pretents to be a hacker. You can find out the area with most IPs (it's how I know I have lots of hot single girls in my area!) but sometimes they're completely misleading but you can't really find an address easily without going to the ISP, and they can't just give the info to anyone. The information just isn't in an IP to find a real-world location. If somebody would please give me my address, or even street or post code from 86.25.147.148 I'd be happy so I could find my way home. Thanks.
Not pretending to be a hacker Dead but just saying it is possible to find a persons IP address if you know what your doing and can hack into the correct savers.................also i did say its against the board rules and does not interest me but it is possible belive you me ......................
I have no doubts that it's easy to get somebody's IP address. It's just that there's very little you can do with it.

I'm not saying there's not but it's not with the IP directly. You have to get the info from the ISP, either legitimately or not.

I'm no IT expert, but I think they might get him as a consequence of him using his real name(Steve) and having a photograph of himself as his avatar. Even OB could probably figure that one out. You tracked anyone down and twatted them yet? #keyboardwarrior
john I think we are at cross purposes here...it's very easy to get an IP address but you wont get a residential address from it
