Terrible attempt at pun, sorry! http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-qpr/2012/06/25/82029-31255953/ Time to start talking about QPR and forget about Barton and England. Admire the courage in stating the aim to get into the 25 but I suspect too lightweight - literally and in skill too. He has a very strange running style that waddles a bit but seems to get some pace going too. Yeah or Nay?
I like him but think he is a fringe player. Better than some of the squad players we had last year and might surprise everyone if he got a brief cameo.
I'm in the yay camp. Should make the 25 but will struggle to make the match day squad imo. Still bugs me that Warnock brought in that waster Puncheon on deadline day to leave Hogan out of the 25 last August.
I just want to say that I think that's an excellent pun! I'm in the "yay" camp, but mainly because I just like the bloke and think he's the right kind of character to have around the dressing room. He needs to get on the protein drinks and bulk up though.
Interesting that mostly positive comments so far. Hughes must have seen something in training to give him the contract so maybe Hogan will surprise us this season. I agree that he appears to have a good attitude and work rate too. I think I'm 'yay' but I wonder if Hughes signed him in case he could not get 1st choice of players. Bird in the hand etc.Just a thought.
Great pun rtid, it's a yeah from me. We keep asking for young and hungry players and heres one right under our very noses. There is something about Hogan that I like. I hope he can take his chance when it comes.
Ephraim can do it. But hes got to do it now. Now or never for that lad. I've always liked him as a player but surely its time to produce the goods?
He should actually get down the gym and start building some muscle, which has worked for other players in the past. It could genuinely do him wonders.
Well done Kerry, I'd forgotten about that. He spoke up in the Canteen after we'd rolled over at home to Scun*horpe and won Briatore's admiration (although I'm not sure that's a good thing!).
He is a decent L1/poor NPC player. He will never make it in the PL. Good attitude and seems like a decent bloke though.
The same was said about Hill, Derry and Mackie last summer. Swords is right though, it's this season or never for Hogan.
Other than pre-season and occasional cameos we haven't really seen the lad for the last couple of years so I'm not sure who other than MH is in a position to judge him as things stand today. To my mind if Sammy Nasri can be one of the most influential players in the country then Ephraim can certainly make a go of it without becoming Arnold Schwarzenegger as some seem to think. He has always had skill but in the past has lacked commitment IMO and it is a mental rather than a physical step he needs to make to improve his game. He is certainly one I am happy to be seen getting another chance.
