An unpolished one would suffice if Carr said so.

Maybe Carr should put the word out that Xisco is world class?

Don't think anyone would be stupid enough to fall for that one.

Honestly, he's a good prospect, but from what I've seen, he's a decent finisher and kinda decent dribber and so on, but he's not a 'special' talent in the same way RVP was when he left Holland.

If you build him up you will be disappointed I think. Still, with service he could be a good buy.

And on pace, the best strikers are either immensely talented (like RVP), very big (Ibra, Llorente) or need a little pace. Even Messi wouldn't be as good as he is without being so bloody quick.

Hopefully De Jong is more of an RVP than a Kezmen, Alves or Bryan Ruiz. It's not that I'm not excited about the prospect of signing him, it's just that history has shown the Dutch league to be fairly weak at producing attackers. On the other hand, some of it's Dutch exports, as opposed to foreign ones, have looked very good, RVP, Huntelaar, Van Wolfswinkel, De Jong?

Yes but people are more aware of the true Xisco now than they were back then.

Think there is a lot of hype around Van Wolfswinkel... He's had a serious injury and moved to Portugal in the past two seasons so in reality he's probably never going to live up to the hype. He played us in the EL a season or two back and was pretty anonymous too, but of course that was just one game.

Huntelaar was traded around before finally producing the goods at Shalke. He had a good ratio at Madrid but they sold him after 20 games - and he largely failed at Milan. Yet for Ajax he scored 76 in 92. It's a soft league.
