Yet you don't comment on the French not even actually trying against Spain. Every single England player on the pitch gave 100% last night, that is the way football should be played.
So no skill or ability, just fitness and fighting spirit? I was not impressed with the French, but at least they were more entertaining that England. I enjoyed watching the Russian team, until they imploded and went out.
Yet there have been 8 teams to win it in England since then. I personally prefer the better competition which is in England. I like good passing football but only a couple teams do it in those divisions you mentioned. Maybe its because I know the prem better but I don't think La Liga even comes close That is not the way football should be played. You would not be happy with Leeds playing like that so why are you with England playing like that
Actually I pointed out exactly what I always want in my comment. I want the players to give 100%, that's all you can ask for.
France were in no way more entertaining than England. England had a few chances against Italy, France didn't even try to get hold of the ball, they just seemed resigned to a 1-0 defeat.
Giving 100% doesnt mean that you are putting effort into the right areas though. A professional footballer should always give 100% as that is what he is paid for so I don't accept that as enough, they have to have some class about them, I can go to the Euros and give 100% effort but I'd still be ****. Its not good enough and you cannot settle for that
Man Utd have won the Premiership 12 times. Blackburn have won the Premiership once. Arsenal have won the Premiership 3 times. Chelsea have won the Premiership 3 times Man City have won the Premiership once. Taking account the amount of money spent on Blackburn's and Man City's win, you would therefore think that the Premiership is usually Man Utd's, with Chelsea and Arsenal occasionally winning it.
Hence why Scotland have been ****e since 1974, we play to a strength of 100% fight, no skill or ability, just commitment. It's simply not enough and will not win you anything.
Well Man Citeh are taking over now and its only a matter of time before Sir Alex the **** ferguson retires so they will struggle to get anywhere near that consistency as soon as that happens. The whole tide is changing and Chelsea have hugely improved as well. I can't even remember my point now....
