Maybe ITV are getting ready for when the Irish immigrant population in Scotland tell Scotland they're having independence.Maybe you should jump the gun and start up C.U.JIMMY.TV.
Chesh, if was a sensitive wee soul, I'd call this racist & come after you. Believe me, there are Jocks out there that will plunge you if you call them a Jock! As for the Irish immigrant population, you might want to get your facts right. We're basically all a mix of Irish (Dalraidans), Picts & Vikings (both types). So your joke gets lost in the translation.
To be honest m8,getting really boring boabs droning on anti England crap all over the place. He reminds me of Adolf.Maybe your right slightly racist, but only intendid to be anti boab.
Tell you what, Chesh, you're right about the politics thing. No place here - certainly not in a sustained fashion anyway. I'm going to delete my 'Scotland ...' signature, just for you. Only put it in as a wind up anyway. I do like being childish at times ....
Tell me about it m8,.can get very grumpy in defence of my club and country.got banned 1st post on the ROI thread.
Away ye go ye mug ya....If you actually read my post you would understand that my point was that during games in which Engerland are not taking place, why on earth does this fecking ****er of a commentator go on and on about England. I have nothing against England, I think they are currently the most boring international football team I have ever seen and a disgrace to the game, however they are in the quarter finals of the European Championships and my country are not even in the competition, so I guess who cares.
Well guess what we did have our own independent television service and it was doing nicely until ITV decided to throw their dummy out of the pram and ask for more dosh from advertising from them. STV couldn't continue to operate under the ITV decision and programmes like Taggart were stopped, sadly so that the channel could continue. Scottish people are forced to watch STV run by ITV for most sporting events, which means English commentators. Many of the commentators are okay, but Tyldesley is just a complete prick and I personally hate the ****er. I have nothing against England, they are a nation like France, Germany or Egypt, they do what they wish and I'm happy for them, as long as I don't have to hear about them when I am watching Spain v France or Iran v Peru!
BECAUSE HE IS ****ING ENGLISH Spain are 10x as boring as England, "let's pass it about the centre circle when we're 1-0 up, how exciting and brilliant are we".
He dont go on half as ****ing much as you this is an English teams board, who play in the English league why do we have to keep hearing you going on about ****ing Scotland spot the difference ? course you didnt cos there aint one,,, i
People in glass houses, Mighty! If I can paraphrase you - this is a Leeds board. Why do we have to keep hearing about ****ing Millwall? (as it happens, I'm quite happy for you guys to be on here, but you must see what I mean?).
So fecking what, he's commentating on a game that England are not involved in, so why even mention them. Why can't you see the issue? Remember ITV have the full rights to football on the 3rd Channel, it goes to Northern Ireland, Wales, Isle of Man, Scotland and England, so impartiality is the name of the game. Look forward to the final between Germany and Spain, when Tyldesley states, had England won through to the final, we could have been watching Gerard and Parker showing why they are the best midfield players in Europe. Spain play football exactly as it is meant to be played, England do feck all but bore the opposition and hope to get corners or free kicks. When we play each other on the 13th of August 2013, I will be very happy to hear the English commentator on Sky giving it 100% England, and the Scottish commentator on BBC Scotland giving it 100% Scotland, in this situation all is fair in love and war.
Since when was there a way football was meant to be played? And if anyone plays like that it's Germany, who I'm supporting from this point.
Whitejock It might be Leeds board but its a football forum open for football discussions. (and football banter)Thats why we joined. i would not join a scottish board and keep harping on anti Scottish dribble if he is anti English thats fine by me if he wants Scottish independence thats fine by me too if he wants to keep harping on about it thats fine by me too.but not on a football forum go join a political forum where he can rabbit on all day to his little Scottish hearts content
I guess having a subsidised tv station that originates from a different country because your nation was unwilling to pay the going rate gives you full rights to complain about it. You should be grateful. Would be great to see the BBC charge Scottish viewers £30 a month for the ability to watch our tv programmes after independence. And you want an independent Scottish tv station? Set one up. That's the beauty of independence, you can have your own stuff. But you have to pay for it. I guess you can surmise that the fate of Scottish "independence" will be akin to the comparison between Scottish football and English football. One is really ****e and has no money. The other is just ****e but it has loadsa money.
What were England thinking? They actually had a game plan and tried to win?!?! Our team is **** at the moment. You can't expect players to be better than they are. We have a style of football in the UK, which is fast paced (we've probably all shouted before at Elland Road when the team didn't pass it forward or played slower paced) and this mind set makes it impossible for us to play tiki ****ing taka and keep possession. Hodgson made us defensively sound, gave some energetic, younger players a chance and made us a danger from set pieces. In doing this, we finished top of our group and left the competition at probably our correct lever (Quarters) without being embarrassed. We have shocking junior coaching in this country. In Spain, they train on good pitches, with qualified coaches from age 5. In UK we train on muddy parks with someone's dad employed as the coach. Anyone surprised that we don't produce loads of top class talent? Can't knock the current team, they did their best.
I always find it weird to see Scottish people complaining about BBC partiality last night when they were commentating on the last British team left in the competition. The commentators will always be biased towards the British/Irish team in the competition, it's not England's fault they're the only ones who ever qualify for the major tournaments.
You are comparing the grassroots of english football with the top class academies of the top clubs in Spain. If I can be so bold as to comepltely pull your argument apart, the coaches in England are actually teaching kids to play football the way you want them to. Every coach is supposed to be qualified too. But what happens is: a) the parents demand that coaches play to win, even at the earliest ages. So the development stops, or is curtailed, because the teams would lose their best players to another team that had an ethos of just winning. Hoof it to the big guys who can muiscle their way through. b) the academies steal all the best players of a certain age group, producing an elite who just happen to be faster and taller than their peers at that age, who then are not taught in the same way because the professional coaches believe they know better. The only way to change what we do is not to criticise grassroots, but to change it radically. Remove all "academies" below age 16. Demand that all professional clubs employ coaches who will train with every club in the surrounding area at least 2 or 3 times each season. Every kid is known, none fall through the net. These coaches can keep tabs and advise on the next stage for coaching for the kids, can provide nutrition advice for all kids etc etc. At under 16 age group, the clubs then know who has developed well. It just struck me that this is pretty much the same system as American Football. Remove the elite, and get everyone to improve together. Grassroots is not at fault - parental demands and professional football is at the core of the problem
