So how much is their club worth now ,with all the mounting debt it can't be a happy time to be a supporter ,never mind perhaps they can concentrate on the murky world that is ccfc rather than our club's financial arrangements .
If you listen to the delusion of ccfc fans and asked them that question they would probably say their club is valued around the £600m mark.. Of course in reality its minus £100m
By all accounts bellend is signing and all will be well with the world, they will take their rightful place in the premiership where their following of millions of little malays in their bright red shirts with mucky mckay emblazoned on the back (he's bigger than mouriniho they'd have you know)will out sell the combined shirt sales of Man U & liverpool combined and will march on conquering all before until total world domination has been achieved . or perhaps not
http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peppercorn_(legal) It's a nominal sum in order to legalise the arrangement. The football club never bought the land, Cardiff council can't just give them the land. With this arrangement the football club own the asset and the Council own the land and are leasing it to them for the very long term. It wouldn't surprise me if the actual rent Cardiff F.C. are paying is £1 a year for example. This was justified by using Swansea's arrangement as an example, If it all goes pear shaped at the Liberty Swansea Council are on the hook. The idea is that Cardiff Council aren't landed with the problem of what to do with the stadium if the football club went tits up. It's a straw argument and, in short, a way for the council to subsidise the football club on a grand scale. If Cardiff ever make it to the Premiership the directors of the Club will make a lot of money. Cardiff council tax payers won't see any return, very different from our arrangement....or so I'm led to believe.
terror, that link won`t work because you have 2 http://`s in it. This will http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peppercorn_rent This will be the same http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peppercorn_%28legal%29 When you put the link in you did`nt delete the http:// already in the link box.
Not to be left out, it looks like the Rugby playing part of Cardiff are also after some Far East investment http://www.cardiffblues.com/news/5870.php
This is a fascinating read for those of you that need serious ammunition when in conversation with our capital friends.. http://myonlycardiff.com/2012/06/27/cardiff-city-season-ticket-refund-meeting-270612/ Enjoy!
Pagan, You need to post that on the Cardiff board. They are in dire need of a reality check and I'd love to read them trying to explain things away. Love it
Terror,I'm pretty sure they would delete it immediately. Too close to the bone for them. However,a sticky on this board would be a nice alternative.
I don't think it needs a new thread on our board. Keep the Cardiff **** in one place. If I posted a new thread on the Cardiff board it would most likely be removed because most of their fans on Not606 seem to have their heads well buried in the sand (Sand supplied by President Sam Hammam) so I'll post in their dedicated WUM thread. Thank **** our board isn't run like this bunch of jokers though.. I kind of feel sorry for them. BTW if you feel its a good post you could always Rep me up
even if this was to be posted on the bin dippers page they would stick their heads further down the hole and deny any wrong doings,he's got them well and truly F**ked ,a rich man's plaything
