Somebody said (Couldn't remember who) that Red Bull already knew it was going to happen because the battery was losing power.
the clown Maldo gets 20 secs as a penalty for wrecking a car of one of the race leading drivers. What sort of a penalty is that.? 5 grid places on next race surely?
I'd rather see him banned for a race, maybe that will sort his head out a bit, he has great driving ability, just needs to temper it a bit with some sense.
Hamilton in Monaco 2011 got the same penalty, which cost him nothing. It doesnt matter if he was a leading driver. The collision is what mattered.
They were both leading drivers so that statement is irrelevant and as someone else has pointed out Lewis took Maldanado out in Monaco for which he also recieved a 20 sec penalty, which didnt cost him any points!
I think the incident was a bit of both, YES Maldonado was off the track beforehand, but Lewis could have avoided it and given some room on the inside rather than expecting the fool to not t-bone him. Like F1 2011 the game, I always leave room for numpties I think are going to end my race. Villeneuve is right though, this season may be full of young blood, but there is nothing better than old guard showing us how it is done.
Schumacher senior moment, makes Kimi laugh, exclusive.
What a brilliant overtake:
Autosport's driver ratings. I'll wait until the magazine ratings before adding to the overall scores - reason being Glen Freeman did these ones and Edd Straw does the magazine ones. Vettel 10 Webber 8 Button 6 Hamilton 8 Alonso 9 Massa 6 Schumacher 7 Rosberg 6 Kimi 5 Grosjean 9 di Resta 8 Hulkenberg 8 Kobayashi 7 Perez 6 Ricciardo 6 Vergne 0 Maldonado 8 Senna 4 Kovalainen 8 Petrov 7 de la Rosa 5 Karthikeyan 4 Glock NA Pic 6 What was so special about Vettel's performance that means he gets a 10 while Alonso only gets a 9? He had a dominant car and drove well, but giving Alonso a 9 is a huge insult. If they are marking Alonso down for qualifying (which was bad luck rather than bad driving), they should also mark Vettel down for qualifying - based on his dominance in the race he should have been much quicker in qualifying. Button was off the pace all race, so I don't understand why he gets a six? Especially when Kimi gets a 5!! What more does Schumacher have to do? I really don't understand the logic there. What the hell did Maldonado do to deserve an eight!! We saw in qualifying that he had a very quick car, he didn't seem to do anything particularly special in the race and when it really mattered, he threw away a podium finish.
a 9???? WTF??? what do you have to do to get a 10? Raikkonen got a 5 ok i see your pulling my leg now
Kimi 5 is laughable against Grosjeans 9! They started side by side on the grid and had kimi not got blocked off he wouldm have been infront of Grisjean at turn 1. Even if Grosjean didnt retire they would probably have finished 2nd and 3rd so how you have a 4 point rating swing is beyond me! I think an 8 and 7 would have been more appropriate!
Seb sounding like that he thinks the FIA purposely bunched up the field to help Alonso close the gap. He felt it was pointless for a safety car.
