I've stuck £10 on Draw/Spain @ 7/2. Worked for me in the last Spain game.

I hope it's a nice, spicy curry and not a korma?

I couldn't decide on any bets today so will save it for tomorrow. They better have a big screen at the hackney festival though.

Are Spain the most boring team on the planet ? I notice that crowds are starting to give them the bird.
I for one, just cant stand watching them pass the ball a million times around the half-way line FFS someone get into the box and have a shot !!!!

    Well that was absolutely dreadful.

How does Benzema score goals? Does it just hit him and go in? Certainly one of the most inept players I've seen at this level. I always thought Govou was bad, but good grief, this bloke... Ribery, one good cross. Cabaye, one good free kick. Malouda, anonymous. Nasri, stropping and disinterested. Ben Arfa not even on the manager's radar.

Spain were almost as bad - dull beyond belief and even though history is against the possibility, I'd like to see Portugal take them to the cleaners in the semi - it would do football good.

And now, the big one...Come on England!

I enjoy the passing but playing without a striker is just not on! What a yawn. France were crap.

As much a laughing stock as Torres has been the past season, Spain only start to get exciting once they bring him on the pitch...sadly that's only really been for the last 10 minutes of their games.

Agree about Benzema, only noticed he was on the pitch once. I thought Ribery was decent though, always harrassed for the ball and never gave up.

Got to say though, best referee I've seen all tournament, constantly played the advantage and let both sides play a physical game without blowing needlessly.

The game was pretty much dead once Spain scored. France seemed to realise it too. Ribery kept trying though and he might be a decent addition to our squad.

Yes FHB - with seven on the bench again next season, it'd be a good opportunity for him to get used to the big match atmosphere...:emoticon-0100-smile

    Tense?

    Nervous?

    Lacking concentration?

Don't know what to do with yourself?

Same here - wonder what it is?

Oh yes - COME ON ENGLAND!

This is the first time for a long time that I am actually looking forward to an England game. Should be a tight encounter.

I can answer yes to lacking concentration and don't know what to do with myself but I am putting this down to the fact that we're now several Sunday's in since the season finished and normally I would be watching Super Sunday. I think i've reached the Sunday tipping point now where I am just bored without football.

Not a chance - the theory that he covers the RB position and allows Johnson to come forward more, I believe would be swept away by the effect that playing an attacking midfielder would have.

Now watch him go and score a couple...

The stats are amazing- he covers more ground than anyone else but delivers less passes. A good description which I read was someone swimming lengths while there is a water polo match going on in the pool.

    Brilliant! <laugh>

Just sitting down for my tea - Goulash and Horseradish Dumplings, so I can feel like I'm in Eastern Europe (sad, or what?) - hope Ponders made it OK and he isn't making his way to the ground on a farm cart again.

If I was Italian I'd be quite happy if Walcott didn't start.

Milner starts :( good squad player but I'd rather have some pace on the wing

Anyway, feeling confident, wonder what talking point Balotelli will be involved in.

    COME ON ENGLAND

I have Italy in the Sweepstakes.

And normally I really don't care about England.

So I may be the only Scrooge who couldn't really care less either way.

Also the media if we win will be unbearable tomorrow.

Just hoping for a positive game and a red card really.
