What, leading from the front vs Alonso from 11th? There's no contest, surely.

For me he was/is clearly the best. Alonsos drive was well executed, but Vettel or Hamilton would have got the same result in the Ferrari in that race.
Kudos to pirelli for reducing the marbles.

I watched the highlights last night and allthough It hinted on me a bit live, it was more aparent this time round that Ben Edwards is... ANNOYING! He is the reincarnation of Legard I swear!

    • Best Driver: Alonso surely could not have done anything better. Then again, the same might be said of Grosjean, particularly so because of his inexperience– as well as Vettel who did a vanishing act: my understanding is that both of them suffered the same problem.
    • Worst Driver: A tricky one. Maldonado went backwards from his grid slot and was hot-headed with Hamilton. Vergne, Kobayashi and Button are other candidates, and once again, Massa was unimpressive.
    • Best Rookie: Grosjean. Unquestionably.
    • Best Team: Lotus.
    • Worst Team: McLaren. They are becoming a laughing stock.
    • Best Overtake: Alonso v Grosjean. There were many others technically as good, but this one has added 'importance value'.
    • Funniest-moment: Coulthard realising a simple error in commentary "too much too late". He made it amusing, whereas Legard would have tried to gloss over it or pretend it meant something or that whoever was listening to his drivel had misunderstood.
    • Most Surprising Result: Karthikeyan drove better than Pic. This is the first time I have felt he has driven better than any single person in an F1 Grand Prix.
    • Least Surprising Result: Maldonado losing his head. Coming back by moving right whilst at the apex of a left turn, from off track and behind Hamilton, was sheer stupidity. There were other poor moves such as Senna's disgraceful attempt to defend by using tactics straight out of Schumacher's book; Pic's clumsy move on Karthikeyan; Vergne's stupid move on Kovalainen; etc.
    • Special Mention to: Timo Glock. Get well soon.
    • Race Rating: 7.46/10. Easily the best Grand Prix ever witnessed from this unpopular venue.
    • Best Commentator overall: Ben Edwards. Never intrusive. Always on the ball. Polite; genuinely enthusiastic; communicates via the English language. The complete antithesis of Legard.

Best Driver: Vettel, destroyed the field before the mechanical failure
Worst Driver: Massa (16th enough said really), Button (wouldve finished well out the points but for the problems of others, 62 points behind, I've almost given up), Pastor (costing Williams another rare podium), Lewis (its moments like this that make me think he wont win the title)
    Best Rookie(Grosjean,Pic,Ricciardo,Vergne): Grosjean
Best Team: Ferrari (for putting Alonso on the Options for his second stint)
Worst Team: McLaren McLaren and McLaren again
Best Overtake: Alonso on Grosjean, gutsy stuff
Funniest-moment: Alonsos being given a teddy
Most Surprising Result: Vettel's failure, first since Korea 2010 (not a bad run at all)
Least Surprising Result: Red Bull miles quicker than anyone.
Special Mention to: Nico Hulkenberg, seemed to go unoticed, great result.
    Race Rating: 6/10

lol, I was transported back in time for that race, you had Coulthard apologizing for interupting himself and Ben Edwards screaming into the mic, and when Hamilton hit the wall I thought he was going to have a heart attack.
