Ricciardo's improved now at the point where the car is now incapable of challenging for points. I can now understand Manny's frustration at everyone getting pissed of at Schumacher; It's easy to judge someone when you only pay attention to the results and not what happens to cause those results.

hamilton always gets called up on for his mistakes, like 2011 where he made a ton of mistakes and he was slaughtered for them. as for the british golden boy, try going to spain or germeny. they worship Alonso and Vettel much more than british people support Hamilton

as for the incident, maldonado pushed raikkonen off the track earlier in the race and raikonnen sensibly waited for maldonado to go forward before going back on track. Maldonado should have done the same thing, he should have waited for hamilton to go past before going back onto the circuit. at the end of the day Hamilton had to brake late which forced maldonado to go out wide because he was cornering late; but hamilton had the racing line, he was infront and was entitled to take the line. but Maldonado came from off the track and took Hamilton out

Whether he needs it or not, that's what he's got. It's a mug's game driving for Toro Rosso.

Well that was a fantastic race, A LOT better than past races in Valencia.

I was so pissed off yesterday with Alonso starting 11th while his biggest rivals started 1st and 2nd - I would never have expected this result. Vettel was unlucky firstly to lose his lead and I suspect the slower laps led to whatever problem he had - he can thank Mr. Vergne for that. Then to have a car failure when it looked almost certain that he'd rebuild his lead and take a dominating win .... very unlucky. The consolation for Red Bull and Vettel fans is that they were dominant this weekend and I wouldn't be surprised if Vettel wins most of the races from now until Spa.

As for Hamilton, his defence was aggressive but we've seen others drivers do that before in Valencia and on all occasions the driver being pushed wide was sensible enough to back off. Maldonado wasn't alongside enough to make a move on Hamilton, so really should have backed off before being forced off the track. Then trying to rejoin the track where there was no space was just silly. He knew Hamilton was struggling with the tyres, so probably would've overtaken him on the next lap anyway. That was really unfortunate for Hamilton, who could have given more space, but who would expect Maldonado to rejoin like that?

The best round up so far.

Agree 100% with all of that (well, except the Vergne bit but will let Red Bull politics sort that one out!)

Grosjean should be Massa's replacement, it would be a measure of his progress to see how he fares against Alonso for a 2nd time. I think he would do a lot better this time around.

We may not have 8 winners from 8 races, but we still have whatever winner of a Grand Prix having a **** time in the next race :p

Grosjean is fantastic. While we all argue the toss over Lewis, Maldo, Vettel etc, he's very special and I wish all the best for him.

He's not that good, i just think of him being a solid number 2 for Fernando, or maybe backing up the finger at RBR. Not a lead driver though, not talented enough.

I pity Fernando then, though if any driver can break that streak it would be Fernando alonso.

BBC F1 chief analyst Eddie Jordan

"I believe the poor pit stop cost Lewis the race because he would have been clear of Fernando Alonso, and Pastor Maldonado would have not got anywhere near him to knock him out of the race."

Yep, that about sums it up, another McLaren pitstop, aside from Maldonaldo, ruin another of Lewis's races.

It is annoying that Red Bull are allowed this unofficial-official sister team, especially when the Toro Rossos hold up rival drivers when they are driving to lap them.

Agreed. It should be illegal for the same company to own 2 teams, surely it goes against competition laws?

It's like they're picking the stupidest people possible to do the pitstops, i'm no fan of McLaren, but it's even starting to annoy me now.

Yes, and if 'Seb' hadn't made himself Bernie's surrogate son, they might do something about it. It's completely wrong, IMO.

'Seb' is the Rebekah Brooks of Formula 1. ;)

10 WDC's on the podium today.

    Is that the record?

I think no one person is allowed to run two teams. Technically, aren't RB and TR separate teams, just same sponsor? (although we all know the real deal here)
