Bottom line, he should took the 12 points and moved on, no upgrades, bad pit stops, lucky that Vettel and Grosean were out the race, just take the 12 points! He said the season is about consistency, yet he defended his position to the death with no tyres left against Pastor. Perhaps next time his engineer should tell him to just bag the points over the radio.

    What I've learnt today....
Old fashioned racers like Hamilton, Kobayshi, Maldonado don't have a brain.

There is a difference between pushing and defending hard (but fair), and being overly (and needlessly) aggressive. If Hamilton had given Maldo room to get through the corner and not getting forced off the track then the entire incident would of been avoided. Maldo should not of tried to stay in there when he got pushed off and should of just abandoned the corner, but he should not of been put in that position by Hamilton either.

Agree. If there was 10 laps to go, I would have said fair enough and yield but with just one lap left, Hamilton was entitled to defend his position.

I agree with Kyle, Lewis should of left more room and I can't see what Maldonado did wrong, or even done much different.

Yeah I would not give up that place, why give up being in the top 3?

You're right, i'm a big Kamui fan, but he just totally switched off today, and drove like a stereotypical japanese driver, rather than his usual aggressive but fair normal self.

how much room did Maldonado give Webber? no one is complaining about that, in fact i think Maldonado forced 3 or 4 people off track during that race, where is the condemnation for that? I'll slate Lewis if he's in the wrong, and I'll stick up for Maldonado, but can't do it in this case as to me it's obvious who was at fault

He would have been overtaken anyway though. There was no way on earth he would have finished 3rd, his tyres had gone off the cliff, 4th was the best he could realistically manage, and even that is a doubt. A sensible driver would have just taken the points though, and played the long game, Prost style.

You know what? I'm gutted for both of them. Still, all hail Fernando Alonso! Drive of the year so far.

Senna was taking the racing line, if you look on his onboard he is following Raikkonen. Kobayashi stuck his car where it should not of been, and should of been penalised for it.

Theyre both as bad as each other, maybe the pair of them crashing was the best outcome.

Sky just showed an incident bewteen Maldonado and Raikkonen. Maldonado forced him on the kerbs and Kimi backed off.

Agreed, took a Ferrari with poor tyre wear and made the tyres last longer than his rivals during that final stint.

No. Lewis had the job done with regards to that corner. Maldonado should have tucked in behind and tried again. But no he came back on to the track sideways into Lewis. He had no room you say? Bollocks. He had enough room to use the off road for the rest of the corner. HOw can people be so stupid to realise it was Lewis's fault?

Another bad day for Mclaren again. <doh>
A poor pitstop, one driver who's too agressive and one who is nowhere near the pace.
