Great race (i know!! Valencia!!) today, sterling drive from Alonso, but i feel gutted for Romain, was probably going to win until the alternator gave out (you can tell that Lotus is a french car underneath)
I don't understand why Hamilton fought it, he was obviously going to lose the place, why not give it up sooner than risk an incident?
Does anyone think that Vettel's car has something on it which speeds it up, but makes it very unreliable under the Safety Car?
Cheers for that, JPF. I thought I'd explained my reasoning but if you want to get into personal insults go to General Chat or just **** off generally.
why should he let him go? It's a race not a procession, and they were coming up to the last lap, without the DRS he wouldn't have been close enough to try. It was poor decision making from Maldonado (again), if he could see Lewis' tyres had gone why not just wait instead of trying to force a move that wasn't going to come off? And even if he had made it stick he would've probably had to give the position back because of the cutting of the corner (although I saw far too much of that today, how Webber escaped a drive through is a mystery, how many times did he cut corners?)
If you believe that's in Hamilton's character then you have a fair question... Really you know it isn't. I'd have let him pass, but that doesn't make us right does it? How was he to know Maldanado would do that? It was stupid.
You haven't explained anything, that's why I wanted clarification and asked a question of you. But seems we know your actual preference for insults, because I didn't insult you at all. Maybe you should **** off.
What?! Hamilton defended his racing line, Maldonado should have backed off and been patient and taken him at the hairpin. He decided himself to drive on the kerbs and for some reason smash into Hamilton.
He tried doing what Grosjean did, but Hamilton gave no room, unlike the Grosjean pass. I blame Hamilton 100%
You're defending Lewis, Miggins! I'm impressed. Alright, you're right, Maldo should have waited but Lewis should have been more mature. Well, they both should have been more mature.
I don't see what Maldo did wrong, he tried to get back on the track, i've seen Hamilton do far more stupid and agressive things, and nobody calls him up for it, oh wait, he's the british golden boy, of course he can do no wrong.
Straight into the side of Hamilton was not the place. Why did Hamilton go to far? He had the racing line, we see it time and time again that it is okay to push a guy off the track, yet when Mr H does it, all the haters come out and cry foul. I hate that rule more than anyone, but until it is changed that you cannot 'take the racing line', then this will continue to happen.
Any bets on Massa being fired before Britain? I know Kamui clobbered him, but he shouldn't have been that far down in the 1st place.
Hamilton should of known he could not keep Maldo behind him though, and certainly should not of been that aggressive and drove Maldo off the track. Both at fault in my opinion.
AGAIN he defended his line. If the driver behind or next to him can't see the space he should have backed out. Grosjean was forced wide but Hamilton still gave him space and allowed him to pass. Maldonado was just impatient and decided to pass him while on the kerbs.
"The most idiotic comment you've ever seen on here" That's a pretty big insult in my book. And read my other posts for explanation of my reasoning if that's not too much to expect.
