He can be quite funny, but even before this I've had the urge to kick his smug condescending face in.

    Certainly.

Some people (****ing idiots) try to draw a comparison between what Jimmy Carr did and what Rangers did.

Some people (****ing idiots) try to draw a comparison between what happened to Leeds United and what happened to Rangers (RIP).

Only a spastic would try to make either comparison.

That still doesn't make sense 'Jimmy Carr is to tax evasion what Leeds united are to liquidation.'

Leeds where liquidated are you trying to say Jimmy is evading tax?

Yes I can. Leeds United football club was sold as a going concern and therefore avoided liquidation. The empty shell company was then liquidated.

Club moved to a newco and oldco was liquidated

Seems pretty much the same as what is goin on at Rangers.

Thank you for confirming my earlier point.

The assets of Rangers were sold off in a liquidation sale. Leeds were sold as a going concern.

The club you supported is no more<ok>

So you think there are no comparisons between the two clubs?

2 big clubs that wracked up massive debts, both ended up liquidated and transferring to a newco.

And you can't see a comparison?

Then very obviously everyone else under the sun is not paying attention.

the club you used to support was liquidated. The assets of the club were sold off and purchased by a new company whop intend to start a new club.

Leeds United (club) were sold as a going concern. The club was transferred to the new company.

The Club you supported is no more. The club that Leeds United fans support changed ownership.
