Dont worry Swords, I'm certain Wolfie is giving the Red Front salute there, mucker!

Although I think I've been expelled from the Tooting Popular Front since moving to the East End.

For me there is a comparison between Spain and Swansea over their last couple games, fantastic going sideways, nothing on the end of it.

    As for France................

There's certainly something in that, H E. I was thinking the same myself. Only difference is, Spain are the best team in the World and they're winning all their games.

They're winning games but no one is having a go at them. The French were a joke, hopefully Portugal will go for them

True. Portugal will give them a run for their money. Their central defense is their weak link.

I still feel that when they're pushed they'll be able to ratchet it up another level and punish people more ruthlessly.

You're probably right, Spain can go up a gear or two. This system they have of not playing a striker and playing five midfielders lends itself to a cautious approach and a lot of sideways passing. Look what happened once that brought Torres on, they looked completely disjointed. I just have a feeling they're there for the taking!

France were awful........no wonder DT is nowhere to be seen. Fancy leaving out one of your best players in Nasri? Benzimar was atrocious and is not as good as Rooney, Gerrard or even Wellbeck on that showing!
By not playing a forward, Spain left the French back 4, especially the CBs with no one to mark, so they were pushing up, looking for a player to mark and leaving huge space in behind. Coaches will need to look at this and over-come it, then the Spanish can be got at by attacking their back4!!

Its a must that the Spanish dont win the tournament or other teams will copy the no one up front formation, imagine 2 teams doing it against each other. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I agree with those that say they can be got at, their defenders are in their comfort zone when teams sit back and allow them to dictate play. Hopefully Portugal will use their skill to pressure them as no others have yet tried...
