Hi All I'm thinking of setting up a prediction league for the 2012/13 season, similar to the Euro 2012 prediction thread, however I think to have people predicting the result of every match will be too much to handle. I am, therefore, looking for suggestions. One possible idea could be to allow everyone one prediction per match day where they can predict the result of any one match (from any competition). If that makes sense. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?
Why don't you just do Manchester United games? Much easier on yourself though are any of us ever going to go against us winning?
I was thinking maybe randomly picking a handfull of game each match day (including Man Utd matches whenever they are playing).
Yeah sounds like a good idea, like 4 games a week or something, would be a lot of work though i reckon!
We do one at work where we use whichever team finishes 10th each season. It makes predicting the results harder as the scorelines are more random. You could try Swansea or Norwich as they are pretty unpredictable. Also on this board there should be no vested interest!
Everyone gets to pick one game to predict per week, but you can only pick a team twice through out the season.
You could do a comp where by you have to guess who the scousy will blame for another defeat. 1.KKK's favourite Luck 2.The ref 3.The FA 4.H&G 5.Souness 6.SAF
Some decent ideas in the thread but we have ages till the premier league starts so lets see what other ideas people come up with.
Syd or Mick would never allow for the board to have a sub forum but I do agree having one would be easier to organise the prediction leagues.
That is for the tournament it self. I was talking about sub forum for a club board and don't think we are allowed to have any but you can always ask.
That is true. the "Sexy poll" thread was originally on General chat but when Speed gate happened, the Geordies wanted the thread moved onto the Newcastle board and Syd/Mick agreed to it.
Received a reply from Syd saying there is a debate going on about boards being given sub forums but they are not getting far.
