http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2012/0...r-talks-between-league-bosses-86908-23899716/ This is becoming a rank embarrassment on so many levels, not least the daily records jingoistic " lets all get behind this fantastic, revolutionary scheme " take on the whole sorry mess.
Why not just give them a 50 point head start while they are at it. Just too make sure. The whole country is in agreement that they start at the bottom and work there way back up. How exactly can you justify starting a team in the 1st division? Even for the record this is dumb, mind you I did wonder what happened to the journalists from the daily sport.
The 1st division messages boards are outraged at this proposal. Quite right too. How is it fair on the fans who bought season tickets in the hope of promotion? Whoever suggested this needs to be replaced as it's this sort of stuff that is ruining Scottish football. There is too many rangers men governing our game.
I think the Scottish Football Authorities need to remember the reason we are in what they call a crisis is because the Oldco committed the most extensive range of Financial cheating on their fellow clubs. No club in Scotland should be inconvenienced by the Oldco to assist the neco in getting established. To me that has to be the basic starting point, anything else means cheating pays.
"The four key points on the agenda were: ●Finding a mechanism that will allow Rangers to parachute straight into the First Division next season. ●A guarantee that play-offs are introduced immediately at the top of the First Division for a place in the SPL. ●The distribution of short-term payments to SFL clubs from the SPL to allow Rangersâ First Division games to be shown live on Sky. ●A timeline to form one body, the Scottish Professional Football League." I've never read such a load of nonsense. A meeting called to save the Newco ... why not just vote them into the SPL and save all the hassle?
Exactly... shocking! Give them cash and a safety of a play off place - just in case Falkirk win the League!!
I suppose we shouldn't be surprised for decades the Scottish Football Authorities have done everything possible to assist Rangers. It can be no surprise that in Newco's hour of need they abandon all semblance of fairness and equality.
I must say i'm tending to agree with you on this one, it reeks to high heaven. Compare and contrast when Celtic were days from liquidation, not a word of sympathy from anyone that I recall. No cries of woe from politicos, no rush to assist Celtic, "If it happens it happens" was the prevailing mood.
Just read that.... He is of course right. Nothing we haven't said already. Dust yourself down, start again.
Looks like the good old Presbyterian slap done him the world of good. Leggo your a miracle worker, lol.
