We have never won a premier league game this season without or captain, Nolan. This is quite alarming that the team relies so much on one player. It's like Liverpool, without Gerrard they are crap. Nolan is pivotal to our team and the fact that we haven't won without him is all the more reason to sign him up on a long term deal. Nolan is a very experienced and an extremely intelligent player. He pick's good creative passes and also help's out defensively by tackling, blocking shots and heading clearances. He commits very clever fouls which benefit the team. He scores goals, he is our top scorer. His technical ability is superb, he can execute over head kicks to perfection and score with back heels. He is the driving force behind our team, he encourages those around him, he leads by example and he is a massive influence in every game. His goal celebration is epic. The fans worship him as do his fellow players. Kevin Nolan is the key that unlocks and unleashes our team. Without him we suffer greatly. With him all our players up their performance. We need him to sign a new contract and today was just another example of why.
Agree. Not the best TECHNICAL player(Ball control, passing, dribbling/tricks and lacks pace) but his goals, leadership and experience are a key reason why he's so VITAL to our team. Hopefully we'll get him signed to that new long term contract and he can retire with the club.. can see him going on until his middle 30's if I'm honest, even as a squad player he'll be useful with his finishing ability.
maybe a thread about this a week or two a go, but I didn't realise we hadn't won without him that basically confirms, to me at least, he needs to be a key part of the team
While that is a surprising statistic, it's also very misleading one - if Kevin Nolan broke his leg in training, does that mean that Newcastle United will not win a game for six months? No, it doesn't.
Wigan & West Brom were poor, but Villa we had multiple players missing and Chelsea & Spurs we weren;t expected to get anything out of it, so not so bad, but still a vital player.
He's only missed about 5 games, and as has been said, 2 of them we didnt expect anything anyway so this particular stat doesnt concern me to be honest.
