I agree actually - she's won a group 1 with an imbecile on board her - goes to show it's all about the horse!.
Just got in from work. Nearly choked on my Greggs pasty when I watched Luke Nolen easing up on Black Caviar near the line. Frankie played it crafty and tried to burn the sting out of her with the pace. Only one best horse in the world and that is Frankel. Fair play to connections for bringing her over though. I want her to get one more chance on summer ground, July Cup. Telling you now though, she'll be whisked well away from the UK
Just watching ATR now, and I have to say Peter Moody's body language around his jockey seemed to speak volumes.
TopClass, already been said in the post race press conference that she is going into quarantine tonight to head home ASAP. They said she's not 100% and might be retired.
Wow, jock on BC 'shes absolutely stuffed in her box, shes out on her feet'. Jesus, i wouldnt be admitting that!! Try and keep the facade.
only one bet today and that is quick Glimpse in the last at down royal at 3,money is comin in for it now.
What a run by Camborne . It's nice for Princess Haya though as I'm sure she could do with the prize money she's won this week.
When you say body language Archer do you mean the heavy blows raining down on him with the travelling head lad waiting his turn patiently. That 24 hour journey home is going to feel 3 times longer for that Jock with the trainer refusing to speak to him and just looking over every 20 minutes to shake his head before looking away agin.
Golden Sunbird at 33/1 and French raider Shahwardi at 40/1 are my two against the field in the 'lucky' last at Ascot.
Well i must say that was a very enjoyable Royal Ascot but from a punting point of view must be about my worst for quite a few years. Roll on the summer now, Newmarket, Goodwood and York... ever the optimist i fancy my chances.
Evening all Just back from Hickstead, couldnt wait to watch Black Caviars race, I do agree she won very easily and likewise nearly had a heart attack when I saw him easing up to the line. Would like to see her again soon, but I think she will be whisped a away back home! Would have like to seen her at Goodwood
BHA have tweeted that Black Caviar was checked over by the on course vet after the race and given the all clear.
As I said on another thread, she pulled up slightly lame but after a while seemed to walk it off. Bearing in mind the injuries she has suffered in the past it wouldn't surprise me if she doesn't race again. She was clearly feeling something so despite the vet giving the all clear, I'm not convinced. Wouldn't be the first time a race vet's given the all clear only for something to materialise later. I just hope she is OK.
I was singing Pat Dobbs praises earlier for his success in the Wokingham. He got in his car drove to Lingfield for one ride and turned over the Roger Varien hotpot on a Michael Stoute trained horse. I hope this bit of exposure will see him grab a few trainers attention and secure him a few decent spares.
