I don't disparage Black Caviar for a moment. She is a very very good mare, and that cannot have been her true running. Saying that, I'm still all about the Frankel!
I hope she sticks around Dan I think we haven't seen the best of her and it would leave the wrong impression if she left now. July cup on good ground less of a stamina test and the jockey cant be that ****e again
So am I and i know you didn't -disparage her. Just thought if I was saying something using "lads" I should also address you so you didn't feel left out!
She wont dare George, they know that come July cup now our trainers will be lining up to have a go. They will get her on a plane as quick as they can whilst the record book still says unbeaten.
I don't know that they'll stay for the July Cup. Their priority is to get her back and prepare her for a new campaign in Oz. it is highly possible that the travelling has taken too much out of her. It has happened to plenty of other horses and can be very serious. Ironically the globe-trotting Singspiel almost died after shuttling from the UK to Australia at stud.
Unlucky for the place money there with SOUL, however, the favourite was a deserved winner, well done to BLACK CAVIAR, however, im not sure she would have won 22/22 in the UK in sprints. One more for me today and it is my NAP for today 4.25 Ascot COLONEL MAK 20/1 EW, has a decent draw and should be suited by a strong pace, at his best off this weight he will be there or there abouts.
I'm not saying that she will run in the July Cup, I don't know what their plans are, but if they were afraid of a challenge, she wouldn't have been there today.
Shame for the Jockey but he did win after all! She is a class horse but on her career and todays showing she is not the best and the wonder horse they make her out to be i think. V.Good group one horse but not a great.
If she turns up in the July Cup now, she just might be a backable price. Having just watched that again, I still think she won comfortably, though I wouldn't be thinking that if I'd backed her. In the bag at the furlong pole, at which point her jockey thought it was going to be a procession.
there on the first plane home after that, Moody is absolutely beeling would you fancy her to come up the hill at newmarket after that? especially if the ground came up soft all this trip has done is damaged her reputation imo
Just out of interest, at what point did connections ever say that she wouldn't be going straight home after this? Anyway - Gordon lord Byron in this one.
