I didn't mean that the striker would cost 5m but that the 5m raised would go toward it and could even make it possible if we may get priced out of a deal without it.
I can see why you think that, but a lot of people that think we'll do a lot worse base it on the fact that Fulham and Stoke did worse in the league while in Europe... so it's obviously going to happen to us. It's not our fault that people decide to be willingly ignorant about our squad and think we don't have much outside our starting 11, but we do, and it's our squad players that got us to where we are now, as they filled in when our better players got injured or went away. Plus we have a whole summer to plan and strengthen. It will be tough, but I don't think anyone has produced a good argument as to why we'll do MUCH worse next year. I've heard prediction for us to finish as low as 12th which is kind of silly. You need to do better than "Europa League is tough, your squad is too small, Fulham and Stoke, Stoke and Fulham, therefore ur ****ed".
Because our over achievement has allowed us to kick on, given us confidence, and attract the type of plyers that only top 6 clubs can attract.
Get our scout system in place, get a manager as organised as ours, get the mix of flair and grit that we have, get a defence as no nonsense as we have, get 2 15+ goal a season strikers, get a keeper in the top 3 in the league, get a full stadium, then we'll talk about you being able to make strides as big as we have
