Just had a thought that i'm sure some lazy journo's might think of too.

    Just say we sell Modric.

That would leave us needing a replacement.

Blanc in and maybe Cabaye as his first signing?

All the column inches given to AVB during the last 10 days is typical lazy journalism.
Do they know what Levy is doing, who he is talking to -I doubt it.
Its all pure speculation-until that comment from AVB himself.
For me I've always thought that Blanc is the most likely candidate since Moyes distanced himself from it.

If it's true, this is the best news we had so far this summer.
    Bobby Davro anyone?

  8. I never thought I would celebrate so much about us not getting a manager!

Joe Kinnear? He was perpetually linked with us for about five years!

Joe Kinnear said that Newcastle are a much bigger club than Spurs so let him go and shove his head up a dead cow's arsenal.

Back to the subject of the thread, I'm reading on some other Spurs boards that several fans believe that AVB has signed a deal to take over on 1st July on a three year deal. His denials and "it's all lies" comment is simply because of his severance package deal with Chelsea as he is still technically on garden leave so he has to deny it until such time.

Not sure is there's any truth to these claims but thought I'd put it out there and see what anybody else has to say on this?

I don't think it wil be AVB. I certainly hope not, anyway. For me, it will either be Martinez, Blanc, or somebody totally unexpected. Let's face it, how many of us would have guessed Harry would be our manager, until it happened?

At the time of this post, you wouldn't want Blanc either!

  17. To be fair to Blanc, I believe that our current Spurs squad is better than the France squad.

Those players tonight didn't seem like they wanted to win.

They were simply out of their depth. Not in the same league. I don't think you can attatch to much blame to Blanc. His team tried to make a game of it in the second half. They were just outclassed.

As said on another thread, its his reaction when things go wrong, it was very poor, allowing players to turn their back on the ball and give up.
