The deal was to have it on Sky Box office. Hatton promotions failed to produce a decent undercard so sky pulled out of putting it on as a box office event after the Haye V Harrison debacle. They only had 1 undercard match on that bill. Team Khan were offered a deal to keep the fight on sky sports but they didn't go for it.....so much for the homecoming and givin back to the people.
This is pathetic - with all the British talent we have currently, they mean to tell us that they can't get together a decent under-card? ...
The trouble with all the very talented British boxers out there at the minute is that nobody knows who the hell they are. rendall monroe fought for a world title last year. who knows who he is? How many PPV buys would he get? Fury V Rahman might have got a few. Macklin V Gevor might have got a few.....but not many Other than that there isn't much that people would pay ã15 for.
Surely we could have Dev versus Trev on the undercard? Two plucky bantamweights going toe to toe for the title of "Hardest Wee Man of not606"
Is anyone buying this? And will there be a good stream as I remember the Froch Abrahams fight (which I think was on primetime) was TV quality the whole way through
