I think the low paid can earn about £156 per week before you start paying 20% tax on everything above. Maybe Mr Cameron would be better served trying to spend his time understanding the slave labour of agencies used by massive corporate companies and that low pay structure. While doing so, he may learn something about the positive side of a British culture that are low paid but do not want to be dependent on the benefit state but get no recognition from a government that prefers to hide behind media stories such as Carr. A government that is failing to deal with the greed of profitable companies that are exploiting its British citizens, all under the disguise of an economic climate that strangely does not extend those same difficulties into the pockets of directors and shareholders. I can show Mr Cameron hundreds of over qualified youngsters who will take up any employment to make ends meet. Maybe the Prime Minister needs to spend more of his time speaking up a bit more loudly about/against LEGALISED exploitation of employment laws rather than taking up an opportunity on the latest spin.
