Can't wait for the excuse from Mercedes, I am really losing faith now, 2 and a half years and one win and 2 pole positions, and now Force India, Sauber, Williams, and Caterham are moving up, well deserved yes. Shame on Mercedes really. Michael should NEVER have returned, the technical staff are remittances of Bar and Honda, a few flickers of glory, and millions of £'s worth of investment amounts to nothing. Thanks for putting your fans through this, pie in face moment.
No excuse from Mercedes. Michael just said on German TV that it was his fault alone. First attempt he was too aggressive and made a big mistake. Second try he made a few small mistakes and simply blew it.
Front wing in the air tomorrow, DNF, time is up.. I have given up dreaming, reality is reality, I watch his side of the garage in humour from now on. No tears left now.
If it couldn't get any worse, Alonso's closest challengers qualify 1st and 2nd. Going to be a long race.
I think Hamilton will go backwards and Alonso forwards tomorrow, will probably end up finishing together around the 4th to 6th region. I think Vettel however will come 2nd at worst.
Starts from the previous races 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8216995.stm 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8766004.stm 2011 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/13919923
Better than 12th. He is still number one at Mercedes, but yeah I agree mistakes are prominent even so.
It was frustrating to watch. I'm amazed he got 2nd, I was expecting 6th or 7th. Don't think he will win tommorow in fact I think it could be a struggle. A battle between the Lotus cars and Vettel for the win looks likely.
why do you think that when lewis has a strong record in valencia? im sure many thought he'd go backwards in canada too.
lots of cars were locking up,but for some reason ppl seem to watch lewis more closely, even Romain Grosjean locked up too.
I very much hope he wins but McLaren as a whole have been grumbling all weekend. I expect him to be a good few places in front of Button but sadly I just don't think the car is competitive enough over race distance.
We have been trying to let you down gently. Age has caught up, team not the best anymore. Your excellent support is not enough to carry the day. Don't be too despondent. Tomorrow is another day.
Yeah, but they are a bunch of ***s, so much experience, they come up with a DDRS which was an advantage in one race and nowhere else. Millions of £'s of advertising, publicity and nothing to show for it, both drivers are equally rubbish now, no point defending them. Always leaving the hot lap to the end, and ruining it for laughs, the team ruining the car, Nico being an anti-climax... Mercedes don't deserve my support, I shift to Caterham, my back up heroes.
Lewis looked quite happy with being on the front row, but he is definitely rattled and irritated of Seb and the RB8 pace. I'm not stirring anything, you just have to look at the body language of his hands the second Seb was mentioned. He also reckoned Seb could of gone even quicker if he had another chance!
He seemed impressed with Vettels gap, which given how close it all was is impressive, he also seemed genuinely surprised to be 2nd given how he "guessed" some changes after yesterday, The top 3 should rightly all be happy with their performances.
