I was reading this & just thought it was good to read.

I really like Parker, he seems honest & knows that he isn't the most talented footballer.

While I was reading it, I thought about our players.

Could Colback or Catts be in the same mould of this guy. He doesn't score many, rarely in the headlines & never makes a fuss on the pitch - just gets on with it.

We all say Colback & Catts don't score enough & need to add that to their game...but do they really? Parker doesn't score often.

Could get shot down in flames here but I firmly believe that JC will be better than Parker barring serious injuries. Still relatively young and already a fairly well experienced Premiership player.

    I agree.

Pre-last season Jack was like Parker, yeah he looked after the ball ok, but was all 5 yard passes, sideways, turn on the spot, release, but as the season progressed Jack grew, was looking for killer passes (and finding them), running forward with his head up, confident to hold the ball in tight spaces.

He's got a wee way to go yet, but is already head & shoulders above Jordan, is better than Catts (who has captained England U21's), and could certainly develop to a really high standard.

The 'next Scholes' ****e is a bit off the mark mind ;)

I actually think if it wasnt for the injuries Catts wouldnt be a million miles away. on his day he's a terrific dm. Don't think it'll ever happen for him though.

As for Jack Colback i think he'll get a move in a year or two and could be a regular in the England squad.

Sorry lads but Parker is an utter ****.
He told some very young fans of ours to **** off once cos they were having a go when he was having a mare.
Backways and sideways, this chap has but two tricks.

Colback is already better than Parker and that is a fact! His passing is better, his break up play is about level and his positioning is better. Why he is not in the England squad is beyond me.

Well yes. Sadly that is quite correct. Same goes for those of a black and white persuasion. No wonder we are disenfranchised with the national game.
