Golden Delicious flash just drifted right out again 33s, 40,s and even 50. Someone obviously lumped on earlier but on balance I think I'm glad I've laid off the win for damaged limitation.
What's going on? It's flashed 25s across the board again. Someone is definitely snapping up the big prices
One bad decision and two good decisions. Bad. Backing Golden Delicious at all Good. Not covering the bet on the fav Good. Laying off the win bet Would have been even better if I had laid the whole bet but at least I only lost my place stake. £100 loss
Just the one bet left today in the 4.40 Doncaster. Icy Blue just flashed 6s across the board I will lay off the win portion to £100 at 7s.
Ah well another one I'm glad to have laid off but another £100 loss. Still, on the day it's £200 down but could have been £400. Not too unhappy in the circumstances. Balance: Plan A. Betting Bank £16,955: Piggy Bank £0 Plan B. Betting Bank £9,480: Piggy Bank £7,475 With £900 to come out of the betting bank if BC doesn't win
Tomorrow night at Warwick 19.55 Depending on price I will be having something ew on Mid Mon Lady. Price check tomorrow Edit. Ignore. Not interested
Royal Ascot Tuesday. Nothing stands out today. Tempted with a couple of outsiders in the King's Stand but on the basis that, at best, one might get a place, I would be getting less than evens on my stake if I placed ew bets. Even place only bets would only produce odds of just over 5/2. Very poor value so I'll give it a miss today.
Disastrous. Picked out Colour Vision and then plumped for Fame and Glory because the ground softened up.
The one winner I had and just the £50ew. Oh well reduced my losses on F&G. That last second plunge was a total failure. Ascot Thursday 2.30 Cay Verde £100win @ 3/1 LOST 3.05 The Fugue 2/1 gen £100 win LOST 4.25 Fast Or Free 8/1 £50ew WON Ascot Gold Cup - Fame and Glory £1000 win 4/5 LOST Balance: Plan A. I've laid off Black Caviar to ensure a guaranteed profit of £198 (if she wins) for no risk Courtesy of Boris Fenster A simple case of head ruling heart. Correction. £193 not £198
