Well we can rule Leicester out because they will feel he can't be any good as the fee isn't over a million. A midfield of Norris, Pugh, Green and Brown is hardly inspiring even if you do add Snodgrass. I don't mind the fact that we have secured Green on a free but I would have hoped for someone better now or a quick skilful wide player unless the idea behind Norris is another 'squad' player or unless it is because we are set to lose Brown? Varney at 5'11 and can play on the wing sounds like a replica McCormack to me and as we have someone proven with 20 goals you have to question why?
Also need to question why big Ross would want to go to the likes of uddersfield instead of staying with us.
What makes you think he does? Do you think he would want to play for SG again? I don't know, just posing the question.

Why would we want an ageing waste of space like Norris. We already have one in Wellens With Danns, Drinkwater, King and now Matty James here Norris wouldnt even make our bench
I'd probably prefer to keep McCormack rather than selling him for 2.5m. 3.5m is more reasonable but either way can we have Beckford back?
Snap their hands off for that much - That gives us 2.5 million to take Peltier and Beckford, secure Sone Aluko on a free and the jobs a good one. Could see Snoddy signing a new contract with those coming in and if not allow him to run his contract down.
I fthese are the sort of players coming in then next season will be very similar to this! Varney = poor mans mccormack. Norris = greedy prick, average player
Luke Varney is a Leicester lad so i have watched his career He started slow at Crewe but became a very decent player for them. He started his Charlton career well but then signed for Derby and never lived up to expectation. He did well for Blackpool without pulling up any trees. Pompey strangely broke the bank to sign Varney but he had an injury hit season last year He is a decent player if you can get him playing right but i think you could do better
