Morning all, Grey and breezy here with a hint of drizzle in the air, but promises of better to come this afternoon. Yesterday didn't quite turn out as planned due to daughter's car breaking down on her way home after collecting the children from school. As she still has a UK address and breakdown cover for the car, I thought it best to get them to send someone out as it is almost impossible to see anything under a bonnet these days. So after I had taken them home she phoned the breakdown company who assumed as she was phoning from France she was on holiday and started talking about repatriating them and the car to England. It was necessary to convince them that she would be over here for quite a time and wasn't looking to get back before the car could be fixed. Finally sorted the breakdown truck arrived quickly, but there is little attempt to see if they can find the problem at the roadside, they would much rather take it back to the garage. So Mme's car is on the school run today and we will see what happens.
The label should read "seggiolino eiettabile" though we may have trouble getting you down from the ceiling each time the Hoornets score!
Lots of men in white coats around the Vic this afternoon. Oh sorry, forgot it is next to the hospital.
I reckon that when H returns from her jaunt around the UK she will still be up tomorrow breakfast time trying to catch up on the days events. Could you have strong coffee available through the night ak to keep her awake.
i'm back M Frenchie ...623 miles driven, and a successful training course...a good day, but i knew today would be the day it all kicked off in WD18! lol...about to read back, though i've been following on Twitter (thank goodness for Twitter!)
by the way, i knew there was a reason i don't live up North! The weather was amazingly awful..there were times on the motorway i couldn't see anything because of the spray from the rain..it was falling so heavily and the skies were so dark, and when i got back down South it was lovely! Never live up North is my advice...sorry Yorkie! lol
You would not be back yet if you had stopped everytime to read the avalanche of tweets this evening. Don't think you would have made Derby yet. Tut, Tut.
you're right, i did go to bed a little later than planned! oops, silly me! ha! i did stop, for a quick coffee and a loo stop, i speed read the tweets, and caught up lol
Surely Watford is the definition of the middle - hence the expression "north of watford"!!!!! Sunny South Coast is where it's truly at
lol i'm sure the weather you had today was better than the atrocious weather there was oop narth! Horrid lol. Hmm, Birmingham and stuff are in the middle, hence...the midlands lol
Hactually you're probably right - I believe the unofficial divide is the Watford Gap service station in Northants
Morning all - a good draw with the bookies, but the brewers won big time at Ascot...Aspall Cider is just so easy to drink, along with Sailor Jerry of course!
Afternoon all. What a couple of weeks that was. I went to dads for the weekend but ended up staying till the tues, when i then got a call asking if i could work for an uncle in Hemel. He wanted someone to cover weds, thurs, fri to get prepared for the seasonal pick and pack. However, he then asked me to work this week too. so all plans went out the window. But i am back now and it feels good. What have i missed on here?? I have kept up to date with the club news and am not happy. I dont like being made to look a fool and he has done just that, and i DO NOT like the rumours linking Zola with the managers job!! They can **** right off!!!
Welcome back Dan, thought you were being held hostage until someone had all his demands met. The person who comes out of this looking the biggest fool should know better. He had all of the facts available to him which we could only guess at. Let's wait and see what happens next. It has been stated that Zola might have a role in the club. It could be as translator for all we know.
