Then lets sign Taiwo on a pre-contract agreement! Thus giving us up to £50 million to spend on other positions. Obviously I hope Jose is staying but I seriously doubt he is!

    Thoughts?

Taiwo is meant to have signed a pre-contract with Benfica

EDIT: Hasn't been confirmed yet, but he's already decided where he's going

"I have made up my mind and I know which club I want to join," Taiwo said. "But I am not going to say anything for now, until everything is concluded."

  3. I think Pardew has eyes on Cheick, a young Ivorian (i think) LB, who has impressed.

However, Againrrr, i don't think we'll see all that 50m, no chance.

IF ENRIQUE DOES GO(I'll nearly cry if it happens)...

Then Baines from Everton would be my first choice!

  6. We've got as much chance of signing Carlos Tevez.

    We'd have to fork out 20m +

If Enrique leaves we'll lose one of our best players and one of the best LB's in the PL, but that doesn't mean we have to get someone as good as Enrique to come in, just someone that can fill his boots and do a good job.

I'm hoping new additions will stop us relying on certain individuals like Barton and Enrique for good deliveries, because they rarely come from anywhere else.

Raylor is decent and Guthrie isn't so bad. Talking about delivery here. Also Simpson has a good cross.

Ferguson as our new LB? Inexperienced but very promising. Bags of energy and ability.

  8. Raylor and Guthrie provide but we all know they're not good enough if we want to push up that table, Guthrie is a good squad player, Raylor should be going soon.

As i said, the only two players that are reasonably consistant with deliveries are Barton and Enrique.

You know what I wouldn't mind keeping Raylor If he doesn't mind being a squad player(which at this current level & future he will be). He can cover RB although he isn't natural and RM were he delivered a couple of ''wicked'' crosses in the box which were delt with effect by Collins and Dunne.. if only Shola was there. Raylor's like a poorer version of Barton IMO. Hard-worker, lacks pace but quality crosser/set piece delivery and is a nonsense RM/RW.

  10. I would never want Raylor in the RB position ever again. Hopefully Gosling will prove to the be the utility player on the right we need. Raylor can stay but he'll be like 8th choice haha.

Agree. Totally forgot about Gosling. I see him more of a box-to-box CM though. Can cover the full-back and the wide areas though.
