Number of problems with Defoe, his wages being the biggest one. He is also too old to be considered by Jol despite the fact he still looks about 15.

According to the BBC Reading "faced stiff competition from Fulham for the 28-year-old". Really?

It surprises me that Reading can out bid a established Prem club? Maybe it could be bad times ahead for Fulham regarding money? <ok>

The Pog was out of contract so how have we been out bid? We offered him what him what we thought he was worth and Reading have offered him a 4 year deal on 30k/week. Either they offered him more or a longer deal or both.

I personally don’t think he is worth that much but Reading have to build a PL team where as we are already an established PL team, so of course they are going to have to pay higher wages to attract players. The same way Rangers offered excessive wages to Barton, SWP, DJC, Bothroyd, Ferdinand and Zamora to attract them to start to build a PL squad… Most newly promoted teams do it.

I guess if the Pog was 5 years older Mark Hughes may have been interested in adding him to the Granddad / Has-Been army is building at Loftus RD

I’m not making accusations or casting any aspersions on his character but my mate who is a copper told me Reading is the dogging hotspot of Berkshire…may be the Pogs into that sort or recreational activity? I’m not sure if Reading has much else to offer…. apart for 30k a week.

Maybe he (pog) just likes a crap away support? I mean you only take about 200 away and Reading take about the same so he will feel at home. Actually that would be a good one next year Fulham v Reading v Wigan who has the worst away support?

Great quote by a QPR fan about their recent aged signings.

Ellers, you were already put in your place on the whole attendance bollocks by a Chelsea fan. Now kindly, do us all a favour, and **** off back to your board - or is the discussion on signing a team with crap away support's cast-offs boring you? Sorry, so Pog joining Reading would please him because their away support is bad? What does that say about AJ and Zamora?

Exactly. Like I said, **** off. Come back when you have a clue.

So not only do you spend more time on Fulham 606 than your own team but you also spend time on the official club forum! I think we have a closet FFC fan on our hands here lads. Welcome to the party, although I'm resident 'annoying prick' around here so you have a lot of catching up to do <bubbly>

    ELLERS - Grow up, son.

You're right and so is FI. I think internet forums should have a breathalyzer built in.
