That being the point though, we won't get this much money for Ranger, and if we lose Best we will NEED at least one more striker, so it's selling to build really. I don't think there's any way Best will stay next year unless there's no chance we can find a replacement.

 

Exactly. We have to accept that lad will want to play football. We all like him and appreciate what he did at the start of last season (I'm certain Demba did!). But realistically he'll want to go and like you say we need to continue to build and improve.

Any money for Ranger would be a bonus the ****ing knacker that he is!!

Best seems like a nice guy but he's not a particularly good player. He's certainly not of the quality that we should be aiming for.

Depends how long his contract is, probably just cheaper to pay it off (save the money on court bills )
But doubt Hughton would want to take him, he's experienced the worst of Nile. He'd head for the Championship imo.
