Afternoon ladies and gentlemen, not been around much this week; however, been keeping a watching brief and it would appear that Not 606 is continuing to bang in the winners well done to all, but a particular mention to ROTO who always seems to pick out some very nice priced ones, keep up the good work, my token efforts today are: Ascot 2.30 EQUITANA 20/1 EW & THE GOLD CHEONGASM 10/1 EW 4.25 BLACK SPIRIT 28/1 (EW) & OPERA GAL 22/1 (EW) 5.35 IMPERIAL DJAY 12/1 (EW) & JAMESIE 16/1 (NAP) EW Redcar 2.45 AYRMILES 28/1 (EW) 3.20 XCLAIM 33/1 (EW) 4.35 EIJAAZ 6/1 Market Rasen 2.55 CTAPPERS 25/1 (EW) 4.10 EDGBRIAR 11/1 (EW) Have a great day guys and good luck to you all, finally a quick mention for BORIS FENSTER you make me chuckle your a breath of fresh air around here
Can't see anything Homecoming Queen to justify that price myself. Samitar beat it by 7 lengths on last outing, yes the ground is now soft, Samitar doesn't seem to mind give in the ground either. 7 lengths over a mile is a lot to make up. Samitar has a blot on his record the run before but was obviously not a 6f horse.
Afternoon all. 3 for me today: 3-45 I really like the look of laugh out loud. Homecoming Queen is obviously a big danger but I'm hopeful. In the 4-25 I've done Danadana and then Yazdi in the 5.00. Here's one for the nostalgics but please be careful with the sound if you're at work http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1YH0ScBr2k
Homecomingqueen not at her best that day - the fact Ishvana finished in front of her says alot. I know she won the Jersey but I also know what HQ would have done to that field. Anyways Irish History for me
Thats harsh hes good crack, taken with a pinch of salts hes good to have around here and he does get it right with his lay of the day
Waiting to see what the draw bias is for the first couple of races but if it suits low numbers like I think it will then I'll be all over Maarek at 14s tomorrow. Put him up last time out when landing a competitive handicap at Newmarket on Guineas weekend when scoring under off a mark of 102. He's been raised to a mark of 108 and he's going to face a monumental effort under top weight of 9-10 in this incredibly competitive 29 runner handicap. His last two wins have been under 10 stone and 9-8 so he has no problems carrying huge weights. Ground conditions will be ideal (moreso than the last day) and if the draw proves to be fine after the first few races today I'm going to have a decent chunk on him as he's definitely pattern class. Bigger write up to come in due course
Apparently the Queen's first horse was a Shetland pony - must have been Carlton house's great grandfather
SAMITAR was my 16/1 Albany winner last year and I am out to repeat the dose with KOSIKA. The Godolphin filly was so green on debut but showed resolve to win and I think there is significant progress to be had, much like their filly GAMILATI last season. Massive price at 16/1
Irish Bookmaker offering money back if your horse finishes 2nd to Astrology. So stuck Astrology in my lucky 15 and put a single on Noble Mission.
I've gone for Newfangled in the first, but starting to worry it is too short a price for a large field
