If this thread is anything to go by, it's little wonder that conflict starts. What began as nothing more than harmless banter has now escalated into individuals calling each other 'twats', 'pillocks' etc. I would imagine that if we were all in a room together, it would only be a matter of time before somebody is squaring up to somebody else. Thank heavens for the safety of cyberspace, eh? Else it'll all be kicking off around now! The sad truth is that the world is heading inexorably towards right-on, left-liberal, softie-woftie, namby-pambyism (to use the official terminology). All this rage against intolerance is largely an intolerant rage against those with whom these leftie-libs disagree. Most of these namby-pambyists will fight to the death for your right to agree with them, but woe betide you if you hold right-of-centre views or conservative (with a small 'c') opinions. This intolerance reaches everywhere, and is evident on this thread when it comes to what is actually pretty harmless nostalgic fun. It won't be long before the likes of "Allo Allo" and "Fawlty Towers" are branded racist and removed from our screen forever. Anybody remember "Mind Your Language"? Hilarious. We are heading towards a Lennonesque society at a faster rate than we might imagine (pun intended). Don't kid yourself that it'll be perfect, because at heart we are all animals, driven by instinct. Our desire to challenge, confront, question, ridicule, belong, identify difference and triumph is pre-programmed into our DNA.
Sadly, it's those who take things too seriously that create the conflict with their mock 'outrage'...
We'll have to agree to disagree then mate. I don't buy into this lefty, hate my own country stuff! I'm not paranoid about foreigners and I don't know anyone who is. The English are the most tolerant people imaginable, having had this multi-cultural experiment forced onto them!! (That should get some blood boiling!!).

Some bloke I've never heard of is attacking Col. Bloody hell, this is getting vicious. I must say it does show COL in a bad light when the hand of friendship is offered him yet he rebukes it. He seems to be not able to handle it when someone disagrees with him. I thought he was better than that if I'm honest.
