Thought Agustien was going to really show up this season under Rodgers .Will he get lost in the manager shuffle ? Was looking forward to seeing him a bit more regular this season , now I'm not so sure we will
He has talent and can pass the ball which will please ML. He also offers some midfield beef which I believe we lack. ML knows what he wants but he has also said that he will take a look at what we've got, so Agustien will have his chance to impress - along with the other players.
Kemy Augustien has never done anything wrong as far as I am concerned. He was unlucky to get injured before Christmas and then Siggy dominated the position in the second half of the season. I hope he does get a change under Laudrup because he always looked strong, could pass the ball and sometimes we need a bit more ‘beef’ as you said in midfield.
Through the doors of the physio room, I'd imagine! Good player, doomed to be perennially injured I feel.
Suffered a bit under Brendan's "This is my first choice XI and I'm always going to pick it" approach. Should have featured more when Joe started getting heavy legged or we needed a bit more steel than Leon could provide. Hopefully ML will see him as I do. A talented player with a hell of a lot to offer us.
An excellent player who looked good from the day he joined us. Why the **** he was sent out on loan to Palace is beyond me though others were thumping 'the manager's right' drum at the time I seem to recall. Whatever, it's history. But I do think he's more of a holding midfielder who can do a job away from home or when we're holding onto a lead. We definitely need an attacking midfielder to provide an option going forward imo.
I wasn't aware that Agustien was sent out to Palace? Thought he was injured last season, but if he was, maybe he needed to get his fitness back at a lower level, hope we see more of him this season, but he is injury prone player!...............
In the Championship he was loaned to Palace at the end of the season, think he came back from injury and it was seen as a risk to put him in to get match fitness. I was of the same opinion as Knackered at the time, though it all turned out right in the end.
I remember thinking , as the season winded down , we sure could have used a healthy Agustien along the way for certain games & began hoping he would stay healthy for the coming season for Rodgers . Exit Rodgers , enter Laudrup , enter a healthy Agustien & who knows now . A really feel Agustien has a huge untapped potential , that along with a bit of grit we lacked against some of ruffian teams has me hoping he can realize that potential with Laudrup .
