Rather than a general discussion thread, this seems more like a bitching contest for Manchester United fans? I would agree that there is no room for racists on this forum but you have to make firm decisions about what is allowed. How about sexism? Is that ok? It seems to be acceptable from what I've seen so far... Vile language and abuse is tolerated, I use it myself on occasion - the point being that although certain standards are expected on this forum, you can't really make a comparison with the BBC site as this site, by definition, is NOT 606 and that the mantra is to comment, create and debate FREELY. If you start to implement the same standards that the BBC had, then I fail to see why you would ever create this one.

This forum is better than BBC 606.Okay I have the occasional ding dongs with Swarbs on the Liverpool board,but I've no personal vendetta against him.It all debate and the occasional banter.I quite enjoy it.Swarbs in fact is what I would call quite knowledgable,and this makes the debates interesting.More of the same please.
The reason why many Manchester United have commented on this thread is because this thread was started on the United board and initially moved to the General Chat section of this site. A solution to this problem would be recruiting more moderators to over see the whole site and not just a particular section of it. The moderators of each board at the moment aren't able to ban anyone, they're only have the tools to delete, move and close threads. If moderators were given the right to ban users for the right reasons, then I can honestly see this site making progression. We currently have an admin and super-moderator who are the only ones who can ban users. In my opinion a suit open 24 hours cannot be run by two individuals, you may disagree with me on this.
I like how heated this place gets. It is great for debates, not just football. Anything goes. People can ask the questions that elsewhere cannot be asked.
